AN: Someone requested an imagine where Leon has a crush on reader and sees her as a face painter at the local fair, then is insistent on getting her number or maybe a date with the help of Chris and Claire♡
I made this one into a Valentine's special since it'll soon be the 14th, and I miss writing cute, fluffy imagines!

Leon POV:
As soon as I get out of Chris' car the atmosphere of the fair hits me, bringing a childish smile to my face. Chris wraps an arm around Claire's shoulders, ruffling her hair.
"Can't believe we missed out on all this as kids." He mumbles, earning a sympathetic smile from Claire. The pair walk ahead of me as I follow, eyes scanning the various food stands, games and stalls. I come to a stop when I see the familiar face smiling at a child, a brush in her hand as she paints something on the kids face.
"Ooh, who are you staring at?" Claire coos, walking backwards and angling her head to look where my eyes are focused. She gasps as Chris comes back too, chuckling at what seems like our younger amazement.
"Ah, so there is a girl." Chris grins, nudging me with his elbow as I embrassingly looking down. I shrug, suddenly feeling like I have to hide my crush, but Claire being Claire, isn't letting it go so easily, especially since I'm the only one without a dating life, for obvious reasons being there's a girl on my mind already.
"Come on," Claire calls out, already heading over the to face paint stall, "I want to get a badass temporary tat painted on my cheek." She laughs. Chris sighs, then follows, leaving me to panic, then in a split second decision I follow.
By the time I reach the stall Claire's already sat down and chatting away with Y/N. They both seem to get along almost right away, probably because they're around the same age. "Anyway, this is my older brother Chris," she points, "and this is Leon. I think you know each other already?"
Y/N looks up at me, a wide smile splits her face as she nods. "Yeah! Hey Leon, I didn't expect you to be here." She smoothly says as she grabs her brushes and begins painting Claire's face. I open my mouth, trying to think of a reason why I'm here other than 'I knew you'd be here so I tagged along with my friends'.
"Yeah," I drawl, "I couldn't miss the Valentine's fair, it only happens once a year, right." I smile, shoving my sweaty palms into the pockets of my jeans. She nods, then looks behind me as if searching for something.
"Aren't you here with a date?" Y/N asks. Claire smiles, glancing down so she doesn't break into a laugh, and even Chris engages in.
"Yeah Leon, don't you have a date?" He looks at me, doing something weird with his eyes. Honestly I'm clueless, until I realise he's slightly nodding towards
Y/N."No!" I say louder than intended, "I mean, no, I don't have a date, I was uh, just...looking."
"You were looking for a date?" Y/N teases as she finishes up Claire's painted face, which actually looks pretty cool, if she was nine and not nineteen. Still, the arts pretty good.
"Not exactly, I mean, I'm not looking for a date. Well I am, but not with anyone around here. Apart from-" I'm crashing and burning, my mouth getting the better of me. Gladly Claire stops before I can ruin it all, paying Y/N and suggesting I should get my face done as she grabs hot dogs with Chris.
I nod, then take her seat as Y/N cleans the brushes. "So Leon, what's it gonna be?"
I go blank, then blurt out "A heart."
She smiles, then nods and begins dipping the brush into the red paint. Gently she reaches out, cups my jaw, then turns my head as she leans in close, her breath tickles my face as the cool paint meets my burning skin. It feels an eternity, my heart racing as she paints, eyes focusing on my cheek until it's finally done.
"What do I owe you?" I ask, sad the closeness is gone. She hums, twitching her lips as she watches me, then she smiles wider.
"A date."
My eyes widen, "What?"
"A date. I finish in an hour, so if you can wait around maybe we could hang out for a bit, the fair will still be open for a little while. I mean, if you want to." Now she looks nervous, but ironically I now feel confident.
"Absolutely. I'll come back in an hour?" I check. She nods, then I'm stumbling away, going to find Claire and Chris in a hazy daze.
Y/N POV:
Like promised, Leon comes to find me just as I finish cleaning up. I grin, holding out a hand as he takes it and begins to lead me around the fair, talking about the different things we could do.
"I'm pretty hungry, can we grab something to eat?" I ask. Leon nods, then leads me to the waffle stand, where we order and he insists on paying. We sit at a nearby bench, eating quickly and laughing at the spilled melted chocolate and the slightly smudged red heart on Leon's cheek. We talk a little, then stand up again, ready to continue our date.
"What about this shooting game? Which bear do you like the most?" Leon asks, stopping at one of the games. I look at the different prizes, falling in love with a massive unicorn bear, but it needs the best score in order to win it.
"I like that one, but-"
"On it." Leon grins, sounding slightly cocky as he pays for a round and begins shooting. I stare, open mouthed as he aims the gun like a pro and shoots every single target in no time. He turns and winks at me, coaxing a giggle from me.
"I forgot you're a cop, but still. Wow." I mumble, then grab the big unicorn being passed to me. I lean up, kissing Leon's cheek as he wraps an arm around my shoulders, looking at me as if seeking permission. I nod, then he squeezes me close to him, and it feels so warm and perfect.
"The ferris wheel. We have to, it's like a Valentine's dream for me." I plead, tugging Leon towards it. He laughs, letting me pay this time, then we sit down on one of the seats. I set my unicorn beside me and snuggle into Leon as he links our fingers together, then soon enough we're being lifted up, slowly the lights of the fair seem so small, and the music dims as silence grows between us.
"I've had so much fun with you, thank you for asking me on a date since I was too chicken to ask first." Leon murmurs, looking so adorably shy. I smile, reaching out and gently cupping his cheek.
"I know you wanted to, I just made the move first since it's taken us forever to do this." I laugh, feeling my heart squeeze and how much I like this guy. My thumb brushes his cheekbone as his breath catches, then he leans forward, pressing his lips to mine and tasting of sugar and mint.
I smile into the kiss, pulling away before it can get too passionate. "You're amazing." He whispers, leaning in to kiss me again. "Will you be my valentine?"
I grin, nodding. "Yeah, I'd love to be."
We spend the rest of the evening playing some more games, eating more food and making out every chance we get, our hands always linked or his arm around my waist. We also take some funny photos in the photo booth, but most of them are of Leon kissing my cheek or me locking lips with him.
By the time we meet back with Leon's friends, they're grinning, and Chris passes Claire a note as if they made a bet on something. Leon and I look to each other, then laugh it off, leaning into each other.
"Happy Valentine's Day." Leon murmurs.
