AN: I had this idea for a celebrity AU where Leon is a famous actor, and everybody loves him. However like reality, his girlfriend who's just normal often gets pushed aside or ignored by the media and paparazzi since everyone wants Leon, and she begins to question if she fits in by his side.

This is definitely new to me, I've not written this AU before, but I kind of love it!

-------------------------------------------------------

The dazzling lights of the movie premiere were too bright, casting a spotlight onto the bustling red carpet. A symphony of camera shutters click repeatedly as famous celebrities and VIPs make their grand entrance to the theatre. I'm amazed by their carefully picked outfits and the majestic aura's they all have, there's no wonder everyone is obsessed with their charm and magnificence. I smile as my boyfriend, Leon, finally makes an appearance. He's the biggest actor here with a massive fanbase and an even bigger net worth, I'm still shook that he bought me a coffee that day eight months ago in the quaint café and asked me on a date. I watch as he grins, building to the excitement as everyone cheers and calls his name, pleading for attention.

"I've only got a little bit of time, so sadly I have to make this quick." He confidently tells everyone. I stay at the side lines, observing from a distance as he poses for photos and signs a few movie posters. His charisma can easily be mistaken for cockiness, but as soon as you get to know him you'll see he's the kindest person on the planet, and he really doesn't understand why people love him, it's truly sweet. My heart melts as he leans down low to speak to a younger fan, ruffling his hair as he laughs and poses for a photo. Checking my phone I see Leon's movie is going to begin soon, so I leave the crowd outside and head to the theatre doors, however even when I show my ID and invitation the security won't let me in, accusing me of being an obsessed fan.

"No, you don't understand, I'm Leon Kennedy's girlfriend." I argue as the burly men cross their arms, giving me a menacing glare.

One scoffs, looking me up and down. "I don't think so honey," He laughs, "he's not one for settling for...someone like you. What did you say your name was again?"

I feel tears of frustration form, sighing I walk away, grabbing my phone to call Leon. It goes straight to voicemail, because it's switched off and he's probably watching his own movie right about now, sitting amongst the other stars who are smiling and trying to find an angle to make themselves more famous from him. There's nothing I can do, so I walk down the street, my dress swishing as a cool mist wets my face, the night air chilly as I wrap my arms around myself, then settle for perching on a curb, shoulders slumping in defeat, and a sense of embarrassment. How could I have been to stupid to think that I could date a famous actor? Of course I'm not good enough. I let the tears fall as my breath turns to sniffles, I'm wallowing in my sorrows probably looking as hurt as I feel.

I hear someone approaching quickly, and when I look up I see Leon racing towards me, his suit ruffled and his shirt undone at the collar, he looks panicked. "Y/N!" He calls out, then when finally reaches me he crouches down, wrapping his arms around my body as he pants, a shaky breath escapes him. "I was so fucking worried. I lost sight of you on the carpet, and then when I went inside I couldn't find you, then when I asked around the damn people didn't know who I was talking about-" He leads off as the look of anguish silences him. His words seem to register quickly.

"Nobody knows who I am Leon." I whisper thickly, but Leon's already shaking his head and fixing his accidental slip up.

"I didn't mean it like that, I'm glad you don't have to face the pressure of the media, but it's so frustrating that no matter how many interviews I do and talk about you, the fans just focus on me. I want them to know about you, I wanna show you off as my greatest accomplishment, you know?" He smiles, reaching out to wipe away my tears. I nod, fully believing him, but it doesn't change the media and paparazzi ruining our relationship.

"I just...it's hard to not feel like I don't fit in by your side, you're you, and I'm just...me. I'm sorry I ruined your night, I know this is important to you, really you should go back, I'm fine-" I begin, but Leon gives me that loving yet stern look as he cups my face between his hands, pressing his forehead to mine.

"You'll always fit in by my side, no matter who we are or what we do. I don't care about the fame, not a bit. You could never ruin anything sweetheart, you're the most important thing to me. Besides, I don't need to see a movie I know line by line, I'd much rather be wherever you are." He softly reassures, then he closes the space between us as his lips meet mine in a sweet kiss.

When he pulls away I find myself clinging to him, feeling a weight off of my shoulders and relief that Leon has chosen me. I realise now that I don't have to be a model or rich to be with Leon, I only need to be myself. "I love you so much." I whisper as he nudges his nose against mine, lips curving up.

"I love you too," He murmurs deeply, "It'll always be you."

We stay together on the curb for a few minutes until I regained a sense of confidence. I look to Leon, then stand, holding out a hand for him. "Let's head back to the premiere, I still want those nachos." I lightly say, feeling warm as Leon wraps an arm around my shoulders. We walk back to the red carpet, where some paparazzi still linger waiting for the exit of the celebrities to interview. They all turn to the street when they see Leon and I walking, hand in hand, then with a deep breath I let Leon lead me onto the red carpet, his smile guiding me forwards when my heart races. Cameras blind me as Leon tugs me forwards, keeping me close as we walk, then his lips press to mine, lingering as the media soaks it up, cheering for us.

"Leon, who's this beautiful woman you've fetched for us?" One journalist asks amidst the flurry of shouts and calls.

Leon grins as he leads me over to answer. "This is my girlfriend, Y/N, she was rudely dismissed by the organisers of this event," he points out, "but I want everyone to know that she's a part of my life, and that she's a star in my eyes, I love her, and I want the world to as well."

The paparazzi's eyes widen, everyone is thrilled with this no doubt money grabbing news. It'll be all over the internet by the end of the hour, and since Leon made a big deal about it by coming back to the carpet, I guarantee we'll be known as the 'power couple' tonight. I nestle into Leon's side as I nod, then we answer some more questions and pose for some more pictures. Leon finally leads me inside, frowning menacingly at the embarrassed security, then we grab some food, including my muchly anticipated cheesy nachos. Leon laughs as I devour them, kissing my cheek as we sit on the stairs outside of the auditorium and listen to the movie, but we're alone and united by our love, that will no doubt last longer than the media's attention on us.
