Hello readers, it seems that we've reached a crossroads.
I can't continue with you from this point on, so we'll have to say goodbye for now.
Don't worry, we will be reunited one day in the future, that is undeniable.
But for now?
You will have to take this journey by yourself.
Our communication will be severed in these thick woods, so just look on the bright side and try to keep your heads up.
Keep moving forward and I'll guarantee we will meet again.
What I won't guarantee is that you'll still be the same person.
That's it.
Good luck.

Chara
An oppressive light shone over Chara, prying at her eyelids.
She wanted to get up, but a wave of dizziness would wash over her every time she tried.
The splitting headache wasn't helping either.
It felt like she had dropped down a massive hole and landed on her head.
Oh, wait.
Chara tried to push herself up.
Nope, nope, annnd nope.
She let herself collapse back onto the ground.
Luckily, Chara had landed in a bed of yellow flowers, otherwise she would have died instantly on impact.
The sunlight was still annoyingly bright.
Thinking about it, how did any sunlight reach the bottom of this hole anyway?
Maybe I can just stay here...
Footsteps echoed through the chasm.
Looks like Chara has company.
"Whoa! Is that a human?"
The footsteps speed up as the person rushes over.
Maybe they won't bother me if I pretend that I'm dead
"Hey, hey! Are you ok?" The voice asks while shaking Chara.
Chara decides to not respond.
"Oh no... I have to get Mom!" The person got up in a panic.
"Ahhhh! What if she dies while I'm gone?"
The person scampered around, weighing their options.
"I got it! I'll bring her with me!"
Their footsteps approached again.
"Hey! Come on, we're going okay?"
They lifted Chara onto her feet and slung her arm over his shoulder.
It was surprisingly comfortable.
Another wave of nausea smashed into her.
"Ughhh..."
"Oh! Are you awake? What's your name human?
"...Chara."
"What a nice name! Mine is Asriel. Nice to meet you!
"Mhm..."
Asriel... Where have I heard that before?
Her memories were all blurry, she couldn't remember anything except her name.
