when one looks back to their childhood, one remembers the vivid springs of laughter, climbing trees and reaching out for the stars, and making flower crowns in fields of flowers. but when [name] looked back at her youth, it was void of those colorfu...

chapter 56. ship falls on head, what now?
[ i will never fail as a pillar again! ]
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
everything had become dark.
[name] had to look away from robin sprouting giant pretty legs, chopper's long horns, usopp shooting plants, and luffy beating the hell out of hody.
she looked up to witness a humungous ship slowly getting closer to the island. it pushed against the bubble, [name] could see the resin on the verge of popping because of its overwhelming weight. she could only imagine what could happen to the island and fishmen once the bubble broke, but she knew for sure...she would die without oxygen.
bubble breaking would be bad for humans.
and of course, [name] was involved in that as well.
"what the hell is that?"
nami mumbled, almost as if saying it aloud might make it more real, "a ship..."
"how is it moving?!"
the fishmen began to panic, everyone staring at the ship known as noah and taking a step back from fear. nami swalloed the discomfort stuck in her throat, standing beside [name] for the time being.
"i don't know what that ship is for but," the navigator sighed, "it's definitely not a good thing that it's trying to get into the bubble. if the bubble breaks, i assume that we will lose oxygen and the island could not withstand the water pressure. we're at the bottom of the sea after all."
a tingling sensation went down her spine.
"look out, nami!"
upon hearing [name]'s yell, nami felt herself being tackled and she instantly fell onto the ground, a surprised yelp escaping from her mouth. a loud thud and a crash sounded from behind while nami focused on the weight on her body — [name] embraced the navigator protectively, shielding her entire body with hers from something that just fell from the sky. it wasn't an angel or an archangel, it was a gigantic man, wadatsumi. he hit his head on the ground, right at where nami was standing earlier.
how [name] was able to sense that from miles away was a shock to the navigator. her danger sense...was sharper than before.
nami took a deep, shaky breath, feeling rather glad that she had just teamed up with [name] a few moments prior and have her stand beside her. watching her back - even now.
"isn't that..."
"yeah."
[name] breathed out slowly and picked herself up, extending the hand where a red cord was tied on her waist to nami. wadatsumi whimpered at the bruise on his head, but that throbbing pain didn't stop him from stumbling back to his feet, eyes looking at noah that was getting closer and closer.
