chapter 53. already on their bad side

i'm seriously not getting paid enough for this...
that was what the [h/c]-haired female had decided to tell herself as all four of them remained seated like good little children in her bubble.
in an attempt to not let anyone drown as they fell down the current, [name] had extended her leg to be grabbed by zoro, caught sanji's leg by her left hand, and extended her bandages to grab luffy towards her before anyone of them could be swept away.
and thus began the most awkward game of underwater human tetris.
with zoro clinging to her leg like a determined sea otter, sanji latched onto her left arm like a koala in love, and luffy half-floating in her grip like a very excited balloon, they all crammed into her bubble. personal space was dead. it had drowned minutes ago.
the pressure of the water was immense, to the point that even zoro's bubble popped not soon after luffy's, so they all had to settle down, no matter how cramped it was, in her resin bubble. (and to make sure the rest of them got enough oxygen, [name] had held her breath for an entire six minutes! doesn't everyone love [name]?)
as they approached the sunny, the ocean drama still wasn't over. the kraken—yes, the kraken—had finally been tamed by luffy (don't ask how) and was currently slapping the ever-living soul out of a giant named wadatsumi.
"that's enough, stop!" luffy yelled, smacking the bubble from the inside.
the kraken twitched from the command and halted.
[name] smiled, "good job, kakeru."
luffy smirked at the name as he sat inside a small resin bubble, totally cramped together with sanji, zoro, and [name] - no face of discomfort on either of their faces (sanji was rather pleased to have been sitting this close with [name]).
the straw hat captain was totally overjoyed that he was able to tame the kraken that the four idiots had found once they all cramped together in her resin bubble.
"they're back!" chopper cried tears of happiness, "i-i'm so glaaaad!"
sanji pressed his face against the bubble with hearts popping out of his eyes, "nami-swan~! robin-chwan~!"
[name] was still smiling as usual, waving at the ones at the thousand sunny, unable to speak because she was holding her breath.
zoro only sighed, arms crossed, "getting lost like that, what a bunch of clowns."
