You approach class 1-4, when you run into someone. You quickly bow and begin apologizing. "I'm so sorry!"

A boy bows to you as well, he also apologizes. "I'm so sorry!"

You stand up straight, seeing a somewhat tall boy with green hair bowing at you. "It's ok. I'm not hurt. Are you alright?"

He stands up, nodding at you. "I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi, first year in class 4!"

You chuckle at him. "Oh, so you're the least problematic first year on the volleyball team. I'm a second year in class 5. My name is L/n Y/n. I assume you know Tsukishima, right?"

Yamaguchi nods, a small smile on his face. "Tsukki and I are friends! Did you need him for something?"

"I just wanted to talk to him. Can you please get him for me?"

"Yeah, just give me a second." He goes into the room.

Yamaguchi walks over to his blond friend. "Tsukki, there's a second year girl named L/n out there that wants to speak with you."

Tsukishima raises a brow, standing up. "Did she say why she wanted to speak with me?"

The green haired boy shakes his head. "No, but I don't think she would've come all the way here if it wasn't important."

"I see. Thanks for letting me know, Yamaguchi." The taller boy walks out of the classroom, seeing you waiting for him. "Are you L/n-san?"

You nod, looking at him with a small smile on your face. "I'm L/n Y/n, a second year here. I'd like to speak with you, Tsukishima-kun."

He holds a bored expression on his face. "Yamaguchi told me. If this is a confession, you're wasting your time. I have no interest in such things."

Your eyes widen in shock. "That's far from what this is. I was just coming to discuss the volleyball club with you for Sugawara Koushi."

Tsukishima raises a brow. "You know Sugawara-san?"

You nod, eyes going back to their usual size. "Yes, he and I are childhood friends, we live next to each other. He told me that some of you first years haven't been getting along and I offered to talk to all of you about it. I already spoke with Hinata-kun and Kageyama-kun. I wan to hear your side of things and see what I can do to help you all."

He snorts. "I just think the shrimp is too loud and annoying. The king's reputation speaks for itself. I don't really like either of them and don't really want to talk about them either."

You sighed. "I was warned you'd be the most difficult. The other two already offered to try getting along with you and each other. I was hoping that you could maybe act a little nicer to them."

"No way. They don't deserve my kindness. And I don't do nice, I keep myself at a distance from those idiots. I see no reason why I'd need to get along with them."

You blink, continuing to look at the tall boy in front of you. "You can't just ignore them if they annoy you so much?"

"They can be two loud to ignore sometimes. It doesn't help that they also try getting me to get into the game like them. I don't share their obsession with volleyball, I couldn't care less about it if I'm being honest."

"I see. That must be hard to deal with."

Tsukishima nods. "It is. And it's rather bothersome as well."

You hum. "I'd say just ignore them. If they annoy you, don't give them any of your attention. Just focus on what you value, do your own thing. If you keep having trouble with them, then maybe you should say something to members of the team that you like or can put up with. I know the third years would like to help, they just need to know what's wrong. Would you be willing to talk with them?"

"Only if it becomes unbearable. I'd rather stay away from the other members of the team, if possible. I'm not a fan of social interaction, at least no more than what's necessary. I usually only talk to Yamaguchi, if I talk to anyone at all."

You smile at the blond boy. "That makes sense. You can also come look for me if you'd like, whenever you have problems. I'm in class 2-5, if you ever need to find me. If you tell me that Kageyama and Hinata are bothering you, I'll talk with them to see if they can leave you alone more. How does that sound?"

A small smile creeps onto the middle blocker's face. "Pretty good, actually. It's weird how willing you are to deal with these problems, even though they don't concern you."

"I'm just helping out my best friend. I'd like the team to run smoothly for him. You can understand that, right, Tsukishima-kun?"

He nods. "Sure. I'll go to you if there's ever anything I need. Bye, L/n-san."

You smile, waving as he starts walking away. "Bye. It was nice meeting and talking with you, Tsukishima-kun."

You finally walk back to your own class, happy to have talked to everyone on the volleyball team you had planned to speak with. You relax, enjoying the last few minutes of your lunch break.
