Takeda finishes explaining when the next trip to Tokyo will be. Each of the members go off on their own.

Hinata walks up to you. "Hey, Y/n-senpai, I plan on staying a little longer for practice. Do you mind staying here with me?"

You look over at him. "Sure, I'll get Hitoka-chan to stay for a little as well. She can always stand having more time to watch you guys."

He nods, walking off to get Kageyama. You grab Yachi and explain what you two can do to help the two boys.

Her eyes widen. "We can toss balls to them?"

You nod. "Managers can do anything for the team, as long as it helps them."

She nods in understanding. You both watch as the two first year boys walk into the gym. Hinata looked determined to work on spiking Kageyama's sets, regardless of which type as thrown at him.

A bad feeling settles in the pit of your stomach. Something was off with these two boys. They had already had a disagreement during the training camp, and you knew there was a little bit of tension building between these two boys.

As you watched them practice, you saw Hinata miss every single toss. You could feel his frustration from where you stood, tossing balls at Kageyama. The setter stopped sending tosses to the middle blocker. That only angered Hinata.

The short boy started yelling at Kageyama to send him some tosses. Kageyama refused, pushing Hinata to the ground. Hinata got up, yelling out Kageyama's name before getting a hold of the taller boy.

You quickly turn, seeing Yachi panic. "Hitoka, go get someone to break this up. Grab the very first person you see. Hurry!"

The blonde girl nods, quickly running out of the gym in search of one of the boys of the team.

You turn back to the fighting boys. "Hinata-kun! Kageyama-kun! Knock it off! You two are teammates, you shouldn't be fighting! Stop it right now!"

They weren't listening to you. You were too scared to get in between them. You didn't think you'd be much helping in breaking them up. You've never gotten physical in any arguments you had with someone else, nor have you ever had to break up anyone that was fighting.

Soon, Yachi returned, bringing Tanaka with him. The second year spiker hits the other boys, yelling at them to stop their fighting. It worked, luckily. Kageyama and Hinata stopped fighting, not looking at each other.

You let out a sigh of relief. "Let's all go home. That's enough for tonight. I'll clean up the gym, the rest of you can go home."

Yachi and Hinata left together. Kageyama went his own way.

Tanaka walked over to you. "Are you alright, Y/n?"

You shake your head. "I wasn't expecting that from Kageyama and Hinata. I was really worried. I already had a bad feeling, but I never would've guessed that they would actually fight like that. Poor Hitoka, she looked scared out of her mind."

The spiker nods. "She looked super pale when she found me. I feel bad for the poor girl. Those two really shouldn't have fought in front of her."

You nod. "I don't think Kageyama and Hinata will be working together for a while, at least they won't work well together."

"Yeah. Hey, do you want me to walk you home? It's getting late, we should be going now."

You had finished with cleaning up the gym. "You don't need to walk me home. I'll be fine on my own. Get home safe, Tanaka."

Slowly, he walks to the door of the gym. "See you, get plenty of rest, Y/n." He walked out, heading to his house.

You collapse onto your knees the moment the door closed. "Damn it!" Tears fell from your eyes.

You felt useless, having been unable to stop the fighting boys without outside help. You cried, knowing that things were changing with the team. You worried about how well things would go from here on out. You knew there were many problems building. You didn't know what you could do to fix it, or if you even could fix it.

You got up, wiping your tears. You head out of the gym, turning off the lights and locking it up. You walk to the changing room, getting your things and heading home. You send Oikawa a quick text.

You: There's no practice for our team tomorrow

Oikawa: Want to come somewhere with me?

You: I think so

Oikawa: Did something happen?

You: There was a fight. I don't want to talk about it

Oikawa: I see. Well, I'm here for you. Do you need me to come over tonight?

You: No. I'll see you tomorrow

Oikawa: Ok... sleep well, Y/n-chan

You: You too

You put your phone away with a sigh. You felt more tears building in your eyes.

You look over at Sugawara's house as you pass by it.

'Why is everything changing?'
