You leave the nurse's office with Kiyoko. "You didn't have to stay with me the whole time."

"I just wanted to make sure you were alright. And I planned on walking you to your class, anyways."

You sigh, looking at your bandaged knees. "The guys are gonna ask about this when they see it."

Kiyoko raises a brow at you. "Does Sugawara not know you're clumsy?"

"No, he doesn't. And he doesn't need to know."

The guys were approaching you and Kiyoko from the opposite end of the hall. They looked you both over before noticing your knees.

Sugawara's eyes widened as he stared at the bandages. "Y/n, what happened to your knees?"

You whip your head to look at him, noticing the whole team standing there. "I fell."

Kiyoko nodded. "She tripped on something while we were outside."

You look at her. "Kiyoko! You weren't supposed to tell them!"

"They asked."

Sugawara blinked, eyes not moving away from your knees. "Does it hurt?"

You look over at him. "It's fine. The nurse disinfected it, bandaged it, and gave me painkillers. I'll be fine."

"Does this happen often?"

You shift uncomfortably. "What if I just don't want to answer that?"

He looks into your eyes. "Do I need to text your parents?"

"No!"

"Then tell me."

"Fine." You let out a breath. "Yeah, I'm a little clumsy. This kind of thing is normal."

He blinks. "I see. Be careful."

"I know that!" You felt heat build in your face, embarrassment coursing through you.

Sugawara walks over to you, wrapping his arms around you. "Just be more careful, ok?"

You felt more heat rush to your face. "I will."

He smiles, pushing you away but keeping his hands on your shoulders. "Good. The next time something like that happens, I'm going to carry you like a baby."

"Koushi!"

He chuckles, taking his hands off you and beginning to walk away. "See you at lunch, Y/n!"

"Geez. He's hard to read some times."

Daichi chuckled. "He only does that because he cares about you. He talked about you almost nonstop with me."

Your eyes widened. "Really?" You look at the captain.

He nods. "He just shows he cares in his own way."

You pout. "I know that. It's just embarrassing how he still treats me like a child even though we're in high school." But you didn't mind it at all. You actually liked how Sugawara treated you.

Nishinoya walked up to you. "Are you sure it doesn't hurt?"

You look at him. "I promise I'm fine. They're just little scrapes. It's not that bad." You reassure all of the boys still present.

Kiyoko grabs your arm, starting to pull you away. "Come on. We still have to get to our classes."

You nod, starting to walk away from the boys. "You're right. Let's go, Kiyoko."

She smiles, walking you to your class. "Have a good day, Y/n. Let me know how your lunch with Sugawara goes."

You smile at her. "I will."

Sugawara sighs, sitting in his seat in his classroom. He thought back to when he hugged you in the hall. Your hair smelled nice. He wished he could've held you for little while longer.

But everyone else had been there. He didn't want to make it too obvious how he felt about you. He was still unsure as to how you felt about him. And that was all he was curious about. He didn't even know how to tell the signs that might prove you like him.

All he could do was guess. And, currently, he guessed that you only liked him as a friend... like he knew you always have. He would never imagine you liking him the way he likes you.

He looked over as Daichi entered the classroom

The volleyball captain sits next to his friend. "Why'd you walk off so suddenly, Suga?"

"No reason."

Daichi gives him a hard stare. "Suga."

Sugawara sighed. "I just didn't want to be around her too much longer. If I'm around her too much, I'm worried I might accidentally tell her how I feel about her."

"But wouldn't you want her to know how you feel about her?"

He frowned, looking at his desk. "I don't know if she feels the same. I don't want to ruin what we have just because I like her in a different way."

Daichi sighed. "Suga, maybe you should risk things with her and let her know how you feel."

"No way, Daichi. I'm not confessing."

"Suga, at least consider it. I mean, what if she likes you back?"

"Doubt it. She probably sees me as something more like an older brother. I still baby her and treat her like a child! There's no way she'd like me in a romantic sense."

Daichi looks at the ground. "Suga, maybe change how you behave around her if you want her to like you the same way you like her. If you ant a relationship with her, start making a move before it's too late."
