You let out a breath, your eyes opening first thing in the morning. You turn in bed, looking at the boy sleeping beside you. A smile rests on your face, adoration in your eyes. You wished things could stay the way they are right now, in this moment. But you knew better than that.

You knew you and Sugawara would have to get up soon. You had finished packing for Tokyo the night before, then spent the night cuddling with Sugawara. You two almost couldn't sleep, feeling too excited for what was going to happen soon. There was too much going on, and you two were restless. Though, you had been able to get to sleep.

You sit up in bed, still looking at the sleeping boy. You didn't want to wake him, but you two would have to start moving soon. There was a lot to do. And you would have a long bus ride ahead of you. You sigh, knowing you had to wake him up now.

You gently shake his shoulder, speaking softly into his ear. "Koushi, time to wake up. We have to get ready to get on the bus. Remember, we're going to Tokyo today. The spring nationals start tomorrow morning."

Sugawara groaned, opening his eyes. He smiled when those brownish grey orbs landed on you. "Morning Y/n. Isn't it a bit early to be waking me up? Let's sleep in for a few more minutes. Please? I'll cuddle you for as long as you'd like."

You sighed, shaking your head and getting off of your bed. "No. We really need to get up and start getting ready. We don't even have an hour until the bus leaves for Tokyo."

He sighed, sitting up in the bed, the blanket falling into his lap. "Fine, fine. I'm getting up. Just know, I would much rather be cuddling with you for another 20 minutes."

You chuckle. "Understood. We can cuddle tonight after settling into the inn we'll be staying at. But first, we need to get changed and eat breakfast. If you want, we can cuddle a bit on the bus ride. If you're still tired, you can always fall asleep on me."

Sugawara smiles, standing on the floor of your room. "Alright. As long as I'm guaranteed to get cuddles, I can forgive you for depriving me of them now."

You shake your head, amused by his behavior. "Whatever you say. Just, hurry, though. I don't want coach or Daichi to yell at us for being late. I don't even want to risk making Takeda-sensei mad, either."

The boy stretches, trying to wake himself up a bit more. "You're right. When those three get mad, there's nothing in this world that can possibly be scarier. Thanks for letting me spend the night, by the way."

You smile at him, undressing in order to change into your day clothes. "Of course. We were bound to have our time together get cut short due to the tournament coming up. It doesn't hurt to try spending as much time together as possible when we have the chance. I think I slept better than ever while having you curled up with me under the blankets."

He grinned. "Oh? Maybe if you're having trouble sleeping there are some other things we can do under the blankets."

Your eyes widened, realizing what he was talking about. "Koushi!"

Sugawara laughs. "You're so easy to get worked up, Y/n. Don't worry, I won't do anything until you're ready for it. Even if that means I have to wait until after we get married, whenever that will be."

You let out a breath. "I don't want to make big decisions like that so soon after getting together. I want to wait a few years before thinking about that kind of thing. Even after high school, I know that I still want to go to college. I want to be able to focus on studies, and getting my dream job."

He nods, understanding. "I get it. That's why I'm willing to wait however long it will take for you to be ready to do everything with me. Just take your time and think things out properly. I don't want us to rush our relationship, and risk ruining it. Let's take it slow, do everything the right way. There's no need to hurry to do anything, we'll do things when we're ready for them."

You nod, beginning to head to the kitchen. "I'll start making us breakfast. Can you bring all of our bags downstairs."

He gives you a thumbs up. "Will do, Y/n. Be careful in the kitchen. Don't cut or burn yourself."

You feel heat building in your face. "Don't worry, I'll be careful."

You look at the inn in front of you, your hand holding onto one of Sugawara's. "I can't believe it. We're actually here, in Tokyo. We're really gonna participate in the spring nationals."

Sugawara nods, giving your hand a light squeeze. "We're really doing this. And I'm going to have you by my side the entire time."

You smile at your boyfriend. "Let's give it our all."

"Yeah."

"We're gonna win!"
