When you wake up in the morning, you find that all the other female managers are asleep. As quietly as you can you get up from your futon, making your way out of the room. You walk down the halls as silently as possible, and head to the kitchen. You decided you were going to make breakfast for everyone all by yourself. You didn't really need the help of the other managers, though you did enjoy their company as you taught them how to make dinner last night.
Today was the day that everyone would be leaving. You had fun meeting the members of the other teams, including the other managers, of course. You liked watching your team have fun while playing in all of their practice matches, but you were also ready to go home. You were ready to lay in your own bed at night, to have some peace and quiet away from everyone else. You didn't hate being around others, but you also liked having time to yourself.
While you're in the kitchen, you grabbed all of the ingredients, utensils, and appliances that you were going to need. You did all of this while remaining quiet enough to not wake anyone up. You started making breakfast on your own. A smile was plastered on your face as you started cooking up this balanced meal for everyone else to eat. It was calm and quiet, and you were enjoying it.
That was until you heard footsteps. You froze, wondering who could be up so early. You thought all of the guys were exhausted after all the matches they had played in yesterday. Even the other managers seemed wiped out from helping the guys all day long, without breaks.
As these footsteps approached where you were, you tensed. You grabbed a pan in case it wasn't someone from the training camp. If it was a stranger, you were going to hit them. You slowly crept through the kitchen, peeking your head out of the doorway to see who was coming towards you.
Kenma looks up, sensing someone else's presence. "Y/n?"
"Kenma?" Your eyes widen, but you're able to relax. "What are you doing up so early?"
The Nekoma setter calmly looks at you. "I feel like I could ask you the same thing. Why are you in the kitchen while everyone else is still asleep?"
"I'm making breakfast for everyone."
He raises a brow. "By yourself?"
You nod. "I don't mind cooking by myself, actually I prefer it. So, what are you doing up by yourself this early in the morning?"
Kenma glances at the handheld gaming console he was holding. "I was sneaking off to play video games. I don't like when Kuro tries lecturing me when I just want to play them."
You let out a sigh, putting on a small smile. "That makes sense. Well, I won't bother you. Go ahead and enjoy your video games before everyone else wakes up."
He nods, stepping closer to the kitchen. "Do you mind if I hide in here with you?"
"Come on it. May I ask why, though?"
Kenma walks into the kitchen, taking a seat in one of the corners of the room. "No one will look for me here, if you're busy cooking. It gives me more time away from everyone else."
"I see. Well, I won't pester you. You're not the type to get in the way, so I have no problems with any of this. Let me know if you need or want anything."
He looks up at you, pausing his game. "What are you making?"
You focus on making the food. "I thought everyone would like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. I'll also cut up some fruit and make fruit cups, for anyone that also wants fruit with their breakfast."
"That seems like a lot of work, especially if you do it all by yourself."
You shrug. "I don't mind. I cook and bake all the time at home. This is just more than I'd normally make, but the same basic concept."
"I see. Last night's dinner was also really good, by the way."
You glance over at him, smile on your face. "Thank you. I wasn't the only one that made it, though. I had instructed the others how to make it, but they still helped to make dinner."
He continues talking while playing his video game. "I know, but I thought I'd let someone know that I liked it. A lot of the Fukurodani guys were worried about it tasting good. Apparently, Yukie can't cook and they get scared whenever she's in the kitchen."
You chuckle. "Well, I think they'll feel at ease this morning. All of the other managers were out cold when I woke up."
Kenma nods. "That's the best thing, whenever everyone else is asleep. It's calm and peaceful. I like it more when it's quiet."
You agree. "It is much better. Hey, did you wanna have a little taste of breakfast?"
He smiles, standing up and heading over to you. "I wouldn't mind trying it out for you."
