You grab the bentos you packed, getting ready to stand up. You were happy to finally be eating lunch with Sugawara. It's been a while since the last time you two had eaten a lunch together, it was sometime in middle school.

You walk out of your classroom, heading to the third years' floor. When you get on their floor, you run into Daichi and Asahi.

Daichi smiles at you. "Hello, L/n. What are you doing here?"

You hold up the bentos for them to see. "I made lunches for me and Koushi. We were going to eat lunch together today."

Asahi makes an o shape with his mouth. "That's nice. It must've been a while since you two ate together."

"We eat together at our houses a lot, but it has been a while since we've shared lunch time with each other. Last time we had a lunch together in school, we were both still in middle school."

Daichi's eyes widened. "That's been a while, a couple of years. You must really be looking forward to having lunch with Suga today."

You nod, smiling. "Yeah, I almost couldn't pay attention in class with how much I've waited for this. Is Koushi still in his classroom?"

The captain nods. "Yes. He didn't get up from his desk. I think he'll be happy when you walk in with the lunches."

You nod, starting to walk away. "Thanks. I'll see you two later."

"See you, L/n."

Asahi turned to the captain. "They really must be close."

Daichi nods. "Maybe, just maybe, L/n likes Suga back."

You walk into the classroom, heading right for your friend. "Hey, Koushi! Ready for lunch?"

He looks up at you, a smile spreading across his face. "Of course. I can't wait to try what you've made today. Are you gonna tell me what's in the bento?"

You shake your head, taking a seat at the desk next to him. "No, it's a surprise. Just open it and eat it."

Sugawara chuckles, taking the bento from your hand and setting it on his desk. He opens it up, grabbing his chopsticks and beginning to dig in. "It looks good."

You started eating your own bento, a smile still resting on your face. "Thank you. I put a lot of effort into making it. I hope you like it."

He was eating it, swallowing the bit that was in his mouth. "It's so good! It feels like it's been forever since I've had one of your homemade bentos."

You giggle. "Thank you. And it has been a while. We never had the time to meet up for me to give you a bento since you started high school. So it's been, what, three years now?"

"Something like that. But I'd still say that it's been far too long. Do you think you could make a bento for me every day again? If that's not too much trouble for you..."

You shake your head, offering him a sweet smile. "It's not a problem for me. I'd like to make you bentos, anyways. You're always complimenting my food more than anyone else that tries it."

Sugawara beams. "That's because I'm lucky to always taste whatever you make. I've noticed that you usually don't try to make anything new unless I'm around to taste it."

"That's... well, I just really like it when you eat what I make. You always seem so happy when you're eating all the new things I try."

He looks at you, a thoughtful expression on his face. "You're really good at making food. How can I not be happy when I get to taste a little piece of heaven?"

You look at your bento, feeling a little embarrassed. "My food isn't that good."

He holds a serious look on his face. "It is that good. At least, it is to me. All the compliments I give you for your food, I mean it. You really have a talent when cooking and baking. I think you could make it into a serious career if you really put in the effort for it."

You quietly take another bite from you bento. You take a few moments to answer, still not looking into his eyes. "Thanks. I still don't know what I want to do after high school. I haven't really thought about it. And I really only cook and bake because I like doing it... and because it makes you happy. I like seeing you happy, and that's why I work so hard to make new things. I really do appreciate having you around to tell me what you think of what I make."

Sugawara puts his chopsticks and bento down, having finished the lunch you made. He gently rests a hand on your shoulder. "Y/n, I'll always be around whenever you need or want me. I know I've been busy lately, but you can always come to me if you need anything. I'll gladly listen to whenever you want to talk. And if you want to try out new recipes, I'll show up at your house, ready to eat any food. Even if I seem busy, I'm willing to make time for you."

You look into his eyes, touched by his words. "Thank you, Koushi. I promise to come to you more often if something's going on. Just... don't overwork yourself. I don't want to add more stress to your life when you're already as busy as you are."

"Don't worry about that. I can make time for you, no matter what."

You smile at him, continuing to eat your lunch.
