"Hey, Y/n. Come here for a bit!" Kaori gains your attention.

You walk over, seeing all of the managers together. "What's up?"

Kiyoko smiles at you. "Some watermelons were given to us. Let's cut them up and give them to the boys."

Yukie nods. "They could use a little break."

You look at the other girls. "I see. Sure. Did you need me to cut them up?"

"If you could help with that, it would be great." Kaori gives you and appreciative look.

You and some of the other managers cut up the watermelons. You hoped there was plenty for all of the boys, not knowing how much each boy would take. You look at the melons, getting caught in a daze. You wondered what Sugawara's face would look like when you hand him some of the watermelon. You thought you might look at him with a cute smile and say something like "hey, Koushi! I cut up some watermelon for you, please enjoy, you earned it!"

You shook your head, getting that thought out of your head. There was no way you could be that obvious with him. You're still Oikawa's girlfriend. You shouldn't be trying to flirt with someone else, no matter how much you really wanted to.

'Maybe it wouldn't hurt to be kinder to Koushi than normal. I mean, I'd always act cute and sweet with him, even before getting into high school. Maybe it'll be more refreshing to act that way with him again.'

"Y/n?"

You look up, getting out of your daze. "Oh, uh, yes, Kiyoko?"

Her brows furrow. "Are you ok? You zoned out. I was worried you might end up accidentally cutting yourself."

You shake your head, trying to get back to normal. "Ah, no. I'm fine. I was just getting lost in thought."

Kaori looked over at you, raising a brow. "Well, be careful about doing that while you're holding a sharp knife. That's dangerous, you know."

"Right, sorry." You look away, feeling embarrassed for thinking about that kind of stuff while you were cutting up fruit.

When everything was all prepared, all of you managers walk back to the boys and call them out of the gym to eat.

You walk right up to Sugawara, plate in hand. "Hey, Koushi. Would you like some of the watermelon I cut up?"

Sugawara's face tints pink. "Ah, of course! Thank you so much, Y/n!"

Daichi laughs behind him. "You're being obvious about it, Suga."

He briefly turns to the captain. "Shut up!" He turns back to you with a smile. "I hope you're ok."

You pray that he can't see your hands, since you accidentally zoned out while cutting the melons again and ended up cutting your hand open. "I am. I cut up food all the time, this was nothing."

Sugawara smiles at you, taking a bite from the piece he grabbed. "It's so good. Thanks for cutting it up, Y/n. I think it tastes even better since you had something to do with it."

You feel your face heat up, your eyes focusing on the plate in your hands. "Ah, well - "

Kaori frowns at you. "Girls who cut their hands while zoning out shouldn't be flirting. Actually, stop holding the plate and let your hands rest."

Sugawara's eyes went wide. "You cut your hand?!"

"Uh, oops?"

He grabs the plate from your hand, quickly checking on your hand. "It isn't deep, is it?"

"No..."

Yachi looks over. "Of course it was deep! There was so much blood! I thought you were gonna die!"

Sugawara hands the plate to one of the other managers, grabbing your hand in his free hand. "Y/n! Don't do anything else today!"

"I'm fine."

"You got hurt!" He panicked.

You smile nervously. "It's nothing to worry about."

He frowned. "Of course it is! I'm in love with you!"

Everyone went silent, staring at the third year setter with wide eyes. No one was expecting him to yell out the fact that he's in love with you. Even the Karasuno team looked surprised. Kuroo was grinning, knowing something like this was probably going to happen at the training camp.

You blink a few times, trying to process what just happened. "Koushi... what - what did you just say? I don't think I heard you right."

Sugawara turns red. He was unable to control the volume of his voice. "I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU, Y/N! I HAVE BEEN FOR OUR WHOLE LIVES! PLEASE, MARRY ME!"

"M-marry?! Koushi, it's way too soon for that!"

"I don't care! Marry me! Be mine, only mine!"

You became extremely flustered, not expecting this in front of everyone. "What are you talking about?! Have you lost your mind?!"

He finished the piece of watermelon in his hand, disposing of the rine. "L/N Y/N! I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU! YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! PLEASE MARRY ME!"

You look around, flailing about in a panic. "Koushi, not in front of all these people! Calm down!"

"NO! I NEED TO MAKE YOU MINE! NO ONE ELSE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO LOOK AT YOU OR TOUCH YOU! I WANT TO BE SELFISH AND MAKE YOU MINE, AND KEEP YOU ALL TO MYSELF. SO, PLEASE, MARRY ME!"

You stopped thinking, being unable to process this situation logically. "WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER! I'LL MARRY YOU THEN! BECAUSE... I LOVE YOU TOO!" You realized what you said, turning red and covering your mouth with your hands.

Sugawara held the biggest smile on his face. "I hold you to it, then!"
