You yawn, the boys had been practicing for a while. As you stretched, the door to the gym opened. You turn your head and see a certain first year duo. You smile, waving over Kageyama and Hinata, motioning for them to head over to where the rest of Karasuno was.
Hinata walked right up to you with a smile. "Hey, Y/n-senpai!"
"Hey, are you two ready to start playing?"
He nods. "All good to go."
You smile wider at him. "That's good. We could really use you two right now."
They got onto the court, switching out with Yamaguchi and Sugawara. You silver haired friend walks over to you once he gets off the court.
"Are you ok, Y/n?"
You nod. "I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
He looks away. "I was just checking on you. Seemed a little tired, I thought maybe you'd want the matches for today to wrap up so you can head to bed."
You shake your head. "I'll be fine for a while longer. Thanks for checking on me. Go ahead and stand with the others. Don't worry about me."
He nods, and walks off. You noticed he would glance over at you throughout the match. You tried focusing on the game. Your eyes followed Hinata's every move. You knew he was the most excited for this training camp, and you could see how happy he was to be playing volleyball.
Out of nowhere, you got a bad feeling in your stomach. Almost like something bad was going to be happening soon. You tried to get that feeling to go away, just wanting to focus on the game in front of you. You hoped everything would be fine.

"Hinata-kun." You call out to the short boy.
Hinata turns around to face you, a smile appearing on his face. "Oh, hey, Y/n-senpai. Is everything alright?"
You nod. "I just wanted to check on you, since you got here so late. How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine, I'm just happy that I got to play volleyball for a bit. I wish I could've played all day, though."
You chuckle. "Well, I'm glad you've been enjoying yourself."
He nods. "I think I can really improve. I think I'm learning something from this training camp already."
"Oh? And what would that be?"
"That I have a lot to improve on. My quick with Kageyama is ok, but if I work harder to improve my own skills, I think the quick could become even better. I want to make myself unstoppable."
Your eyes widen at his statement. "Wow, that's an amazing thought."
Hinata smiles. "Yeah. Was there something on your mind?" He tips his head to one side.
You let out a sigh. "I'm just worried about being here. Koushi has been overprotective since we got off of the bus. He's not even trying to act normal, and it's been bothering me. I mean, I'm dating someone else. Why can't he just act like he usually did?"
The orange haired boy hums. "Well, I know Sugawara-senpai has liked you for a while. Maybe he just wants you to know how he feels."
"Maybe. But I'm worried about how that might affect the team. It's almost like Koushi is more focused on me than he is on volleyball."
"I don't know what to do about that. Maybe Daichi-san will be able to help with that."
You put a small smile on your face. "You're right. Sorry for bringing this up with you. You probably can't help with whatever is going on."
"Yeah, sorry that I can't be more helpful."
You shake your head. "No, it's fine. You have your own problems to worry about. How did you do with your supplementary lessons?"
"I think I did good, at least better than I did on my actual exam."
Your smile stretches wider, but just slightly. "That's good. I hope you keep doing well with your studies."
"Me too. I think my mom would be happy if I keep getting better grades."
You chuckle. "I bet."
Hinata looks into your eyes. "Hey, wanna come spend some time with me and Kenma? I was just about to go visit him for a bit."
You shrug. "I don't see why not. I'd like to spend some more time with one of my best kouhai."
He smiles brightly. "Yay! I get to spend time with Y/n-senpai today!"
You nod. "I haven't really gotten the chance to meet Kenma yet. Maybe you could introduce me and we can go from there?"
Hinata bounces. "Of course! Kenma's really nice, but kind of quiet. He really likes playing video games. I think you'd like him."
You follow the boy as he walks off to the Nekoma boys' room. "I see. I think you're right. He sounds like a good person."
"He is, trust me. I met him by accident one day and we've been good friends ever since!"
You giggle at his excitement. "That's good. I'm glad you made a friend that makes you happy."
"He'll be your friend, too. Maybe he'll teach us both how to play video games."
"I'd like that."
