"Watch out!"

You and Kiyoko duck as a ball comes flying. It zooms right over your heads, hitting the wall and bouncing off in a completely different direction, away from you and the other manager.

The boys just stare with wide eyes. All of them felt nervous about nearly hitting you two. They wanted to make sure you and Kiyoko were alright, but none of them knew how to start talking to either of you. They were just nervous teenage boys, too scared to talk to pretty teenage girls.

Sugawara jogged over to you, helping you stand up. "Are you alright?"

You nod, helping Kiyoko stand. "We're fine. The ball didn't hit us. Luckily, we dodged just in time. Don't worry about us." You give him a warm smile.

He smiles at you, relief washing over him. "That's good. Just be careful during practices. Balls come flying from all sorts of directions."

"We will. Thank you for checking on us, Koushi. Go ahead and continue with practice. We can handle ourselves here."

He nods, turning around and heading back to the court. The other guys just looked at him with wide eyes.

Tanaka was in awe. "Wow, Suga-san. You're amazing for being able to go over to Kiyoko and Y/n, just talking to them like normal."

"I live next to Y/n, I'm used to doing things like that. It's no big deal. It's not like they're goddesses or something, they're regular teenagers just like us."

Nishinoya gasped. "Have you seen those two? They were already beautiful on their own, but together it's a beauty that can't even be described!"

Tanaka nods, agreeing with his friend. "It's on a whole other level! There's no way we can just walk up to them so casually!"

Daichi frowns. "That's enough, you two. Get back to practice before coach starts yelling at us."

You watch as the boys go back to their practice. "They're pretty amazing. I can't wait to see them in matches."

Coach Ukai walks up to you, Takeda following behind him. "You'll be able to see them in action soon. The spring inter-high will be coming up soon. We need to prepare the boys for that."

You look over at the coach. "I think they'll do just fine."

"That's a lot of confidence for someone that hasn't been around the team for all that long. I like that."

Takeda nods, smiling at you. "Keep giving them encouragement. I think things will turn out better with a little extra motivation."

You look over at the boys, cupping your hands around your mouth to amplify the sound of your voice. "Keep going boys, you're doing great! Give it everything you got, just like if this was a real match!"

Nishinoya jumped up, cheering. "Yeah! You heard the pretty girl! Let's play like the best team ever!"

You chuckle, turning back to the adults. "See, they'll do fine."

Coach Ukai nods. "Too bad we can't have both managers on the bench beside the court during games. Only one of you at a time, so you two need to decide amongst yourselves who will be sitting with us and who will be sitting in the bleachers."

You look at Kiyoko with a smile. "I can stay with the audience. Since you've been with the team longer, you should be there with them beside the court."

Kiyoko looked at you with wide eyes. "Are you sure? I think it would make sense if you were them on the court, since most of them like you better. You talk with the guys more than I do."

You shake your head. "I want you to stick with the team. I wanna get a better angle of their plays, so I'll sit with the audience. It can help build strategies to have someone look down on the entire court."

She smiles at you, wrapping an arm around you in a side hug. "Ok. I'll trust your judgement."

Takeda was brimming with pride. "This team really might have what it takes to go all the way to the inter-high. With supportive managers, hardworking players, and a coach that knows what he's doing, I have some high hopes for this team."

You look as the boys continuing having their mock match. "I just want to see how they can get even stronger to be able to take down all of their opponents. Koushi told me you guys lost to Nekoma when you had a practice match against them."

Ukai nodded. "I think they've learned a few things since then. And they're all working harder together. I think with enough practice, they'll be fine in actual matches."

Hinata ran, jumping high into the air. "Kageyama! Here! Toss to me!"

Kageyama tossed one of his fast over to the shorter boy. "Shut up, you dumbass."

Hinata hit the spike, gaining a point for the team he was playing on.

You cupped your hands around your mouth once again. "Be nicer to Hinata-kun, Kageyama-kun! Don't call him a dumbass!"

Sugawara whipped his head over to look at you, having never heard you curse before. "What did you just say, Y/n?!"

You pointed at the first year setter. "He said it first!"
