You sigh, staring at the ceiling of your bedroom as your alarm goes off. Slowly, you turn to you phone and shut the alarm off. You sit up, throwing your legs over the edge of the bed. You look at the floor for a few moments before getting off of your bed. You quickly glance out you window, looking over at the window of Sugawara's bedroom. You let out another sigh. You wished things could be different, that it had been your next door neighbor that had been over last night, instead of Oikawa.

You slowly move across the floor, heading to the door of the room. You open it, walking to the kitchen to make your breakfast. You stop in the doorway of your room when you hear your phone go off on your bedside table. You turn back, walking over to check the notification. It was a text from Sugawara.

Sugawara: Slow morning?

You: You looking into my window?

Sugawara: In my defense, you tend to leave your curtains open often. So, yes, I saw you get up

You: And you decide to text when I'm walking away from my phone?

Sugawara: I didn't see if you grabbed it or not

You: :|

Sugawara: Can I come over for breakfast? I'm already dressed

You: What about your mom? Isn't she making breakfast for you?

Sugawara: She left early. So, either you let me eat at your place, or I go to practice on an empty stomach

You: Let me go unlock my front door and you can come over

Sugawara: Thank you, my love!

You: Yeah, yeah. Stop bothering at me when you see me doing stuff

Sugawara: Does this mean I can have a bento made by you too?

You: Will you stop bothering like this?

Sugawara: Yes

You: Then yes

Sugawara: Yay!

You: Front door is unlocked. I'll be in the kitchen, if you need me

Sugawara: Ok

You walk away from your front door, heading into the kitchen. You grab all your ingredients, and everything else that's necessary for the breakfast you wanted to make.

You hear your front door open and close. "Morning, Y/n!"

You holler over your shoulder. "Morning, Koushi!"

He walks into the kitchen, a smile on his face. "How are you doing?"

"You ask that now?"

Sugawara chuckles. "Sorry. But seriously, how are you?"

You look over you shoulder, making eye contact with him. "I'm good. How are you?"

"Great, now that I get to have the food you make today."

You look back at what you're doing. "You're so easy to please."

He points finger guns at you. "You're just a great cook."

You raise a brow at him. "How would your mom feel about that?"

"Please don't tell her."

You chuckle, turning your focus back to your cooking. "I won't. But why did you decide to come over today? Your mom not being around wasn't the only thing. I know you can make some stuff for yourself."

Sugawara remained silent for a moment, shifting uncomfortably in the spot he stood in. "Well, I wanted to spend time with you."

"Any particular reason why?" You still didn't look at him.

He sighed. "Last night, I got a bit upset that you went to go spend time with Oikawa. I messed up a little bit in individual practice because I couldn't completely focus on what I was doing. I wanted to make sure of something."

You pause, slowly turning to face him. "Make sure of what?"

"You don't love Oikawa now, do you?"

"No. Why would you ask that?" You tried remaining calm, but you were slightly panicked that he would think something like that.

Sugawara looked at the ground, unable to keep looking into your eyes. "You willingly went to spend time with him yesterday, even leaving practice early to go meet up with him."

You look away from the boy. "You guys didn't seem to need or want me last night, so I left to spend time with someone that would want me around."

He looks up suddenly, eyes wide. "Of course we want you! We just - we didn't need you last night. What did you even do yesterday?"

"I went to help Aoba Johsai with their practice. They really needed and wanted me there to help them out."

Sugawara looked shocked. "You helped them with practice? What about us?"

You look up at him, tears in your eyes. "You guys made me feel unwanted, not needed! No one asked me to stay and help them. Kiyoko and Hitoka were asked, but not me. No one even tried telling me to stay, just in case! You all said I could leave early! How do you think that made me feel?!" You turn back to cook, trying to calm yourself down.

The silver haired boy sighs, walking over to you and wrapping his arms around you from behind. "I'm sorry we made you feel that way, we didn't mean to. With three managers, there are probably going to be times when we won't need all three of you at once. If no one else tries getting you to stay, I won't let you leave early. I'll have you toss sets to me."

You look at him. "You want someone to set to you?"

He nods, smiling. "I'm practicing spikes now. I think it'll help with some of our attacks."

Your eyes widened. "Koushi... but, you're a setter."

"I know. But I want to be useful, so I need to work to be good with everything. Let me help you cook. I don't want you doing everything all by yourself again." He starts helping you make breakfast.

When it was ready, you two eat together. You smiled at each other, glad to have worked out some of your problems. Talking it out really helped. Now Sugawara knows what to do to keep you from running to Oikawa. And he was going to do everything in his power to keep you as his.
