You wake up, hearing the doorbell to your house ring. You get out of bed, slowly sitting up.
There was a knock on your door, before it slowly opened.
Sugawara's face pokes into the room. "Morning, Y/n."
You smile at him. "Morning, Koushi. What are you doing here so early?"
"I was picking you up this morning. I guess I got up too early. Did you just wake up?"
You nod. "Yeah, but it's fine that you're here. Did my mom make breakfast?"
He shakes his head. "She was in a hurry. She left right after she let me in. Looks like it'll just be the two of us."
"Alright. Let me get dressed and I can make us something quick to eat."
He nods, slowly backing out of the room. "Take your time."
You get off your bed, walking over to your desk. You grab the clothes off of it and started getting dressed. You brush your teeth and brush your hair before going to your bedroom door. You leave your room and head to the kitchen, passing by Sugawara in the living room.
He turns around and watches you disappear into the kitchen. He gets up, following you. He walks up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist, leaning up against your back.
You stop moving. "Everything alright, Koushi?"
He hums. "Yeah. Just wanted to spend time with you. Whatcha making?"
"I'm cooking up some chicken and hashbrowns to put into breakfast wraps. Does that sound good?"
He nods, placing his head against yours. "Sounds great. Can't wait to eat it."
You move your head to look at him. "Are you just gonna keep hugging me while I cook?"
Sugawara gives an innocent smile. "You don't mind, do you? I just feel bad for acting rude to you last night about Oikawa."
You sigh, looking back at the stove to continue cooking. "It really was nothing. I don't have any feelings for him. I promise."
He nuzzles his face against your head. "I trust you. But, don't get too close to Oikawa."
"And why is that?"
"Cuz he might steal you away from me." The boy pouts, making sure you can see his face.
You let out a breathy chuckle, looking at his pout. "I won't. No one can steal me from you, Koushi. There's no need to get jealous."
"There's always a reason to get jealous. First Nishinoya, now Oikawa. Guys are determined to steal you from me."
You laugh. "If you're so jealous, why don't you ask me out on a date?"
He remains silent for a moment, shifting his weight between each foot. He looks away from you, hugging you slightly tighter.
You get worried from his silence. "Hey, I'm just kidding. Don't take that so seriously."
"Ok."
You smile. "Good."
"But if I were to ask you out, what would you say?"
You turn to look into his eyes. "Why does that matter?"
"I'm just curious." He continued looking into you eyes.
You look away, trying to focus on making food once again. "I'd probably say yes. I don't have any reason to turn down a date with you." You felt heat build in your face.
Sugawara smiles, hope fluttering in his chest. "Then maybe we should go on a date."
"Stop messing with you."
He was being serious. "Right, sorry." He chuckles awkwardly, trying to hide the fact that he had been serious about trying to set up a date with you.
"Can you let go for a bit? I need my full range of motion in order to make the wraps." You spoke at the hashbrowns and chicken had finished cooking.
Sugawara lets go of you, though he was reluctant to do so. He wanted to keep holding you. "I think we have to eat on the way there, we're starting to run low on time."
"I see." You focus on wrapping everything in the soft tortilla, carefully placing everything inside you it wouldn't fall out of the wrap. You wrap it tightly, handing the first one done to your friend.
He gladly takes it, taking a bite out of it. "It's really good."
You smile, finishing up with your own wrap. "My breakfast wraps tend to be good. I decided against putting an egg in them today. I hope it still tastes good."
"It does. I don't even mind that it's not like the majority of breakfast wraps. Thanks for making them for us."
You nod, quickly cleaning up the kitchen. You two head towards the door, grabbing your bags before leaving the house. You lock up, walking alongside Sugawara on the way to school.
He smiles, enjoying his food. "Maybe after high school, you should go to culinary school and try working in a restaurant."
"Maybe." You continue eating your wrap, trying to stop thinking about the conversation in the kitchen.
Sugawara looks at you with a loving expression. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Y/n."
