You and Sugawara were walking home together.

He looks over at you briefly, quickly turning his head away before you can notice his gaze on you. "So... are you really gonna go on that date with Nishinoya?"

You stop walking, surprised by the sudden question. "Why do you ask?"

"Just wondering. He's pretty excited about it. And it seems kind of weird that you would just agree to go out with someone you never even met before. When I heard about it, I thought I had always heard wrong."

You look at the ground. "It was the only way I could get him to agree to come back on the team. I don't want him to leave and end up causing more trouble for the team. I'll just go on this one date with him to fulfill the agreement."

A small smile creeps onto his lips as he heard that. "Well... if it's just for that, then it should be fine. Just be careful and make sure he doesn't try doing anything you don't like."

You smile at him, finally looking at his face. "Of course. And if you want to know what happened, then I'll tell you all about it when I get home afterward."

Sugawara slung an arm around his shoulder. "And this is one of many reasons why you're the best person ever."

You giggle. "That was random. Are you really happy that I'm willing to share everything with you?"

"You didn't share everything with me."

You frown. "What do you mean by that, Koushi?"

"You never told me that you made up your mind to join as a manager. Why didn't you say something to me at practice?"

Your eyes widened. "I was going to surprise you tonight during dinner. How'd you find out?"

He smirks. "Hinata said something while we were all changing in the club room."

You let out a breath. "I was hoping he wouldn't say anything. I really wanted to surprise you." A pout forms on your face.

Sugawara pulls you closer to his body, chuckling while trying to comfort you. "Sorry, Y/n. But I am happy that you're going to be a manager for us. It's gonna be great getting to spend so much more time with you! And we'll be able to walk home together every day!"

You sigh, leaning up against him more. "Well... as long as you're happy...."

"I am. This will be great. Don't you want to spend more time with me?"

You smile at him. "Of course I do. We barely get to see each other while you're busy with volleyball. That was part of my decision."

Sugawara gives you a sweet smile. "Really?"

You nod, too embarrassed to say anything.

He grins. "You missed me that much that you wanted to join my club?"

"Sh-shut up." You mumble, walking faster to get to your house.

Sugawara jogs to keep up with you, gladly sticking by your side on the way to your house.

When you two arrive there, you let your guest in and walk in behind him. You close the door and take your shoes off, heading straight for the kitchen after setting your bag down.

Your guest made himself comfortable on the couch, turning the tv on. He looked over his shoulder, trying to see you in the kitchen. "Do you need any help, Y/n?"

You call out for him to hear you in the living room. "No, I'm fine. I'm making this dinner for you, so just relax."

"Ok. Let me know if I can help you at all."

"I will."

You turn your attention back to the food prep you were doing. You were currently trying to cut up the vegetables so you could start stir frying them. You wanted to surprise Sugawara with your first stir fry meal. When you finished with the vegetables, you grabbed a different knife and began cutting up some beef, adding that into the pan when you finished cutting it up.

From where he sat in the living room, Sugawara could smell the food cooking. It made him feel a little impatient. It smelled so good, and he was hungry after practice. Now, he couldn't wait for it to be done so you two could eat it.

After cooking the food and adding all the proper seasonings, dinner was finally ready. You plated the food and set it on the table, making sure drinks and utensils were also placed onto the table.

"Koushi, dinner's ready." You call for the boy.

Sugawara walks into the dining room, smiling as he looks at the food. "Looks and smells great, Y/n."

You smile at him. "Thanks. Please, sit down and eat."

He sits down in front of one of the plates, putting his hands together before touching the food. "Thanks for the food." And he starts eating the meal you made.

You sat across from him, beginning to eat your own food. You thought it turned out well. But you really wanted to hear what he thought of it. "How is it?"

"It's amazing. You're still the best cook ever! But never tell my mom that!"

You chuckled, looking between the food and your friend. "I won't. I'm glad you like it, though."

"Of course I like it! you made it!"

You both continued to eat dinner together, sometimes holding light conversations.
