Bree and Maddie were following Adam, in the school hallway.
- "Oh! Check out what I've done with my locker!" The tall guy exclaimed as he opened his locker. "Ta-dah! Here's where I keep my books. Down here I keep random strands of hair I've collected to make fake mustaches." The girls looked, disgusted, Adam put the random hair above his mouth. "And here is where I stockpile old lunches, or, as I like to call it, my tum-tum yum-yums."
- "Ew." The bionic girl replied.
- "Why?" The alien girl asked the oldest, who shrugged, smiling.
Leo walked over to them, holding a slip of paper.
- "Hey, Leo. What's that?" Bree asked.
- "My progress report." He explained. "I can't believe my science teacher says I'm always late to class." He complained.
- "Well, you are always late to class." Adam replied.
- "Yeah. You are always late." Maddie agreed. "And that hasn't changed since I've met you."
- "I know that, but I don't need it publicized." The short guy complained more.
Chase ran towards the group, holding his own progress report.
- "Look at this! An "A-minus"!" The latter exclaimed, angry. "I knew my Home EC teacher had it out for me. Always criticizing my muffins." He shook his head with a disapproving look.
- "I can help you with that, if you want, Chase." The Matthews girl said. "I love to cook and bake, so I'm apparently pretty good."
She's always helping me. She's so sweet. The genius boy smiled softly at her.
- ""Pretty good"?" Leo repeated. "You're kidding! You are amazing!" He exclaimed. "Everything Dee does is fire, even if it's the first time she tries a recipe."
- "Fire? Where?" Adam asked, panicked.
- "It's an expression, Adam." Bree sighed.
- "Oh." The latter responded.
- "I would really appreciate your help, Mads." Chase smiled. "I will definitely take you up on this."
- "Any day." She smiled, back.
- "Wait, did you say "minus"?" The tall guy asked. "Ha-ha! I beat you!" He laughed. "I got a "D-plus"! "Plus" because I'm better!" He grinned widely.
- "No, Adam..." Maddie shook her head, amused.
- "Adam, the "plus" is..." The bionic girl started, then, paused. "You know what? It's just not even worth it anymore."
Leo and Maddie nodded.
- ""D" is not a good grade, but we don't really expect you to get good grades." The genius boy explained. "I'm engineered to be the smartest person on the planet, and I just got an "A-minus." I've been relegated to into the huddled, unwashed masses of minuses, like you!" He exclaimed, upset.
Just gonna pretend, he did not just talk about his bionics. The alien girl thought. Did he just call me...
- "Excuse me?" Mads crossed her arms. "Unwashed masses of minuses? I'll have you know that I only ever had "pluses"."
- "You're right. I'm sorry." Chase sighed. "They are, you're not."
- "Really? Only "pluses"?" Bree asked.
- "Yes, I have an eidetic memory. So, remembering stuff is easy for me." The Matthews girl shrugged.
What? She does? The youngest Davenport thought. Wow, I have so many things to learn about her.
