A few days later, the bionic trio was completing their training on a virtual training platform.

- "Great job, guys. You just took out an entire unit of virtual cyborgs." Leo said.

- "I think it's sad that you have to invent people to play with you." Eddy replied.

Chase rolled his eyes.

- "All right Leo, I'm off the clock. Let's get outta here." Adam started walking away with his brother.

- "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Just 'cause Dad's away, doesn't mean we stop training." The mission leader replied. The two older brothers groaned. "How do you think I feel? I'm missing a four-hour documentary on the history of the Printing Press."

- "But Leo and I were gonna play human bull's-eye bounce." The tall guy explained. "Don't worry, it's way more dangerous than it sounds."

- "Human bull's-eye bounce. Is there any way you can get a good enough bounce to land in the emergency room? 'Cause that would save us a lot of time." The genius boy answered.

- "Nope. He's right, Adam. As much as I enjoy watching you get hurt, and I really do." Bree laughed.

So do I. The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. And so does Mads.

- "We have to train." The bionic girl explained.

- "Oh, come on! The adults are away! If we don't take advantage by doing something destructive, we're no better than... Chase." The Dooley boy looked at his brother.

- "The adults are away for the hearing for Maddie's custody." The Davenport girl frowned. "It's not the time to be destructive."

Maddie's hearing for the Davenport couple to have her custody started, the day before. It was supposed to last three days and for those three days, the couple and the alien girl were staying in a hotel, in San Francisco.

- "She's right." Chase replied. "We can be destructive with Mads, later. For now, we need to be calm. Mads needs us, she won't have us by her side if we are grounded."

- "You know, he's right, Leo." Bree said.

- "But Maddie and the adults won't come back until tomorrow night, we have time." Leo argued.

- "I'm sorry, but unless he can be in two places at once, he's training." The mission leader replied. "Come on, let's get the bo staffs."

- "Oh man, I never get to do what I want. It's not fair." Adam complained.

- "Aww. Are all of your cool bionic abilities and top secret missions getting you down?" The bionic girl sassed.

- "Thanks Bree. I knew you'd understand." The tall guy said, softly.

The younger bionic siblings rolled their eyes, before walking away.

- "You think she'll be okay?" The green hazel-eyed boy asked his sister.

- "Yeah, it's M. She's strong, and she has us." The Davenport girl replied.

- "Yeah, but she's not here, TODAY. Today, of all days." Chase sighed. "It's the anniversary of her adoption and her Earth birthday."

- "I know." Bree sighed. "But she'll be there tomorrow, and we are gonna celebrate."

- "I'll try to make Claire's cake." The youngest brother said.

- "You have the recipe?" The bionic girl asked.

- "I do. I helped Claire making Mads' birthday cake." The genius boy explained. "So, I remember." He pointed his head, smirking.
