Later that evening, after the two boys parted ways, Chase walked towards his best friend's room, excited. He wanted to tell someone when had happened. He wanted to tell her.
He knocked on her door and a Maddie with puffy eyes opened it.
The bionic boy smile's dropped.
- "What happened?" He asked, worried. "Are you okay? Do I need to kill someone?"
- "No." The alien girl snickered. "One of my favorite characters in my TV show just died. I can't believe he's dead." She lied.
- "Oh." The Davenport boy chuckled. "You must really love him."
- "I do." The Matthews girl nodded.
The green hazel-eyed did not know that she was talking about loving him.
- "Can I tell you something?" He asked.
- "No. You can't." The blue-eyed girl replied and started to close the door at his face.
Chase frowned.
- "Of course, you can, you idiot." Maddie shook her head as she opened her door to let him in.
- "It was not funny." The bionic boy walked in.
- "Your face was." The alien girl smiled. "So, what's up?"
- "I want to tell you something, but I'm afraid it will change the way you see me. I don't want that." The Davenport said.
- "You're scaring me." The Matthews girl frowned as she sat on the edge of her bed.
She knew what he wanted to talk to her about, but she acted like she didn't, because she wanted him to let him come out on his own terms, not because his best friend caught him.
- "I like guys. And girls. I like both." The green hazel-eyed boy started pacing in the room. "I started realizing it at the dance with Jake, but with Sebastian, it became more obvious. And he reciprocated my crush, so we just kissed. TWICE!" He exclaimed, without looking at his best friend. "And it felt really good. I wanted to tell you before, but I wanted to make sure of my feelings. You know me; I don't like not being sure. But now, I am. I really hope it doesn't change the way you see me. I hope I don't disgust you." He stopped walking and turned to look at his best friend, who was smiling. "What?"
- "Nothing. I'm just proud of you and honored to be the first person you trust with this part of yourself." The blue-eyed girl said.
- "Really?" Chase raised his eyebrows.
- "Yes." Maddie got up and walked up to him. "And I does not change the way I see you. And you definitely don't disgust me." She smacked his arm. "You are an idiot for even thinking that it would."
- "Ow." The bionic boy frowned.
- "You could never disgust me, Chase William Davenport. Got it?" The alien girl asked.
- "Yeah. I got it." The Davenport boy smiled.
The Matthews girl pulled him in a hug.
The green hazel-eyed boy smiled as he hugged her tighter.
- "Thank you." He whispered as he felt a huge weight being lifted off his shoulders.
- "You don't have to thank me." The blue-eyed girl replied.
- "I know." Chase said. "But I want to."
- "In that case, you're welcome." Maddie snickered.
The bionic boy smiled as he closed his eyes, enjoying her touch.
