The four kids were in the lab with their father. The bionic trio was wearing neck braces.

- "Okay, now we'll check your bionic reflexes." Donald said. "First the left arm."

Adam's arm hit his sister in the face. He was hit in the face by Chase. The oldest siblings groaned in pain.

This is hilarious. The genius boy laughed.

- "Okay, now the right arm." The scientist continued.

Bree hit her older brother's in the face, while he hit their younger brother in the face.

Ow. He thought.

- "Ohh! Oh, I hate this game!" Adam shouted.

- "Okay, Adam. Well, you can sit this one out. I'll just do Bree and Chase." Donald replied.

The youngest bionic siblings hit their older brother in the face.

- "Ohh!" He groaned while his siblings chuckled.

- "Come on, Big D, it's summer vacation!" Leo complained. "Let's hit the beach. Slap on some shorts and show everyone your pasty little walking sticks!" He smirked.

- "Not now, Leo. We're doing some routine bionic chip maintenance." The father explained as his wife walked in with a tray of snacks and drinks. "Besides, this is fun, right, guys?" He asked.

- "Good times." The tall guy, sarcastically, replied.

I wanna hang with Mads. The genius boy thought.

- "A blast." He sassed.

- "Okay, are we done here?" The bionic girl started to take off her neck brace. "I wanna go be normal for a while!" She threw it to the command center and sparks came out.

Tasha startled and made fall her tray.

- "Can't we go just five minutes without something sparking, exploding, or oozing around here?" She asked, irritated. "Ever since summer vacation started, it has been like one long science experiment."

- "I'm sorry, honey." Donald caressed her forearms. "I... you know... maybe... maybe Leo's right. Maybe we need to take a break and go to the beach." He turned to his children.

Yes! And we could invite Mads and Claire! Chase smiled.

- "Ahh!" Adam exclaimed.

- "Yeah!" Bree yelled.

- "We'll take a whole weekend, as a normal family, you know? No gadgets, no phones. We'll do it totally tech-free." He explained while the kids were cleaning up the mess.

- "Oh, that is exactly what I need. You would really do that for me?" The journalist asked, smirking.

- "Of course. You are way more important to me than the amazing innovations born of my genius." The father smirked. "We could even invite Claire and Maddison."

YES! The youngest Davenport thought.

- "Thank you, baby." Tasha kissed her husband's cheek and walked away.

Donald smiled and looked at his wife walking away, in awe. He couldn't believe he had met her, and he felt lucky that she accepted to marry him. He loved their beautiful family.

- "Wow, Big D, it's really nice of you to blow off work for my mom." Leo said.

- "Well, you know, Leo, now and then, everybody needs a little peace and..." A loud alarm cut off the scientist. "Quiet!"
