A month later, the five mentors were in the living room. The two eldest brothers were playing foosball, Bree was texting her crush, Maddie was reading, her calves propped on the thighs of Chase, who was working on his tablet.
- "Good news, guys." Donald walked in. "I am totally free this weekend. No meetings, no conferences. Just two fun-filled days with me."
- "So, no conferences at all?" The bionic girl asked. "You know, if we looked really hard, I bet we could find you one." She smiled.
- "Are you saying you don't want to hang out with me?" The father questioned.
- "Well, if she's not, I am." Adam raised his hand.
- "Alright, what about you, Leo?" The scientist asked.
- "Uhh... Dad, I'd love to, but I just really don't want to." Leo shook his head.
- "I won't even bother to ask you, Maddison. I learned my lesson the last time I interrupted you while you were reading." Donald said.
- "Wonderful." The alien girl nodded, without lifting her head from her Kindle.
The genius boy pulled the legs of the girl he loved up and got off the couch.
- "Don't worry, Dad. I'll hang out with you." He patted his father's shoulder.
- "You know what? I got a lot of work." He replied.
- "Mean." The Matthews girl scoffed and took the hand of the boy she loved, pulling him down on the couch. She kissed his cheek. "They don't deserve your time."
The green hazel-eyed boy smiled widely as his cheeks turned bright red.
Douglas walked in, looking shocked.
- "Hey, Douglas. What's wrong with you?" Donald asked.
- "I just got a phone call from Daniel." The uncle said.
- "What?!" Maddie frowned.
- "Who's Daniel?" The Davenport girl asked.
- "Your brother." Douglas replied.
The father and his children looked at each other and at the alien girl.
Shit. Shit. Shit. They are gonna hate me. She thought as she put down her book.

A couple of seconds later, Chase got up from the couch to make Douglas sit next to Maddie.
- "We have another brother?" The genius boy asked, in shock. "I can't believe you hid that from us, Mads."
- "Again, not my secret to tell." The alien girl replied.
- "I never told anyone, but...I actually created four bionic superhumans. Adam, Bree, Chase, and Daniel." The uncle explained.
- "What is with you naming your kids in alphabetical order?" Leo frowned.
- "It's better than their original names." Douglas said, before gesturing to the youngest. "Big boy." Then, he pointed to Adam. "Little Boy." Finally, he gestured to his niece. "And Not A Boy."
- "Another brother, huh? Would it kill you to throw some lip gloss and long hair into one of your test tubes?" Bree asked, irritated.
- "I can't believe you never told me. Of all the rotten things you've done, this has got to be the worst." Donald said. "And I'm very disappointed, Maddison. I thought you trusted us."
