A few days later, the four youngest of the team walked into the common area.

- "Guys, guess what I found!" Adam exclaimed as he walked out of the hydraloop with Zack.

- "Zack!" Maddie hugged him.

- "Hey, Maddie. Hey, guys." The Fields boy smiled.

A dog barked and came out of hydraloop. The middle siblings and the alien girl started to pet it.

- "Aw, he's so cute." She smiled.

Chase smiled as he looked at her in awe.

Since he realized his feelings, he had paid attention to his best friend's every movement as he tried to understand for how long he had been feeling like this.

But he also became nervous around her, he was, now, careful to never be alone with her and stayed at distance, so her touches would not make him lose his mind.

- "Where did you get a dog?" Leo asked.

- "And please do not say from a guy with sunglasses and a cane." Bree said.

- "No." The taller guy shook his head, making his boyfriend laugh. "He started sniffing me when I got on the hydraloop, then he went crazy and wouldn't leave me alone." He explained.

- "And did you by any chance have meat in your pocket?" The genius boy questioned.

- "No!" The eldest exclaimed. "Wait, is salami a meat?"

- "Oh, babe." The blonde snickered.

- "He can't stay." The green hazel-eyed boy said.

The dog sat.

- "Whoa! Did you see that? You said stay, and he did. He's a genius." Adam smiled.

- "Unlike someone we know." The Matthews girl whispered to the siblings.

- "Hey." Zack frowned.

- "Otis?!" Douglas exclaimed. He whistled and Otis came to him. He started to pet him. "Oh, that's my dog! He was a stray I took in and nursed him back to health, back when Krane and I bought our first evil lair together! Actually, it was more of an evil townhouse."

- "How were we ever afraid of you?" The bionic girl snickered.

- "I knew I recognized him." Maddie said.

- "Ooh, this guy got me through some pretty rough times." The uncle chuckled.

- "Well, it's nice to hear that you had someone to comfort you while you were plotting to kill us." The middle brother nodded.

- "I think Otis ran away because Krane terrified him. He must've been searching for me forever. I bet he smelled my scent on Adam and followed him back here." The Davenport man explained.

- "Are you sure that's the same dog?" The Davenport girl questioned.

- "It is." The alien girl nodded.

- "Absolutely, watch this! Otis, sit." Douglas ordered, and Otis sat. "Look left." The dog looked to the left. "Look right." Otis looked to the right. "Speak." The dog barked.

The teenagers looked impressed.

- "Whoa. I can't even do all that!" The taller guy exclaimed.

- "You can do so much more." The Fields boy put his hand on his boyfriend's back.

- "I'll tell you another little secret: Otis has super strength." The uncle said.

- "Wait. You gave bionics to an animal?" Chase asked.
