A week later, an exoskeleton started firing lasers at Chase's team.

- "The exoskeleton's gone rogue!" He exclaimed. "We have to take it down before it destroys the whole academy!" His team started walking towards the exoskeleton. "No! You're doing it wrong! Wait for my command before you attack!" They hid behind the barrier. "Why aren't you attacking?" They started walking towards the exoskeleton again. "Well, don't do it now! Retreat! Retreat!" The exoskeleton knocked his team down and then deactivates. "Great. My team is down! MY TEAM IS DOWN!" He yelled, frustrated.

- "Well, I think we can all agree that's not how you take down an Exoskeleton." Donald said.

- "Come on. Give us one more shot." The genius boy replied.

- "I'm sorry, Chase. This combat simulation was to test your students' progress and as much as it pains me, I'm going to have to give your team a big F." The father explained.

The green hazel-eyed boy sighed. A 'F'?

- "Oh, who am I kidding? This doesn't hurt at all." The scientist smiled.

- "It's called failure, Chase. Let me spell it out for you: F..." Adam started.

Chase crossed his arms and waited. Uh-uh, please, tell me.

- "You know what? On second thought, why don't you spell it out for me?" The tall guy added.

A few minutes later, Chase was talking to his team.

- "I can't believe you guys messed up the combat simulation." He said. "What's the first thing I taught you? Do as I say, and as I do." He frowned.

- "Good pep talk." Donald put his hand on his youngest's shoulder, before walking to the eldest. "Adam, your team's up!"

- "OK guys! What's the first thing I taught you?" Adam asked his team.

- "Don't be like Chase!" They, simultaneously, replied.

The students and the mentor high-fived. The exoskeleton started firing lasers at them. The students hid behind the barrier.

- "OK. Let's do what we do!" The tall guy said. "Now!" The students threw the barrier at the exoskeleton. "And that's what we do." He high-fived his team.

- "That was amazing!" The father exclaimed. "That was even faster than Bree's team last week."

- "Faster than Maddie's?" The eldest teenager asked.

- "HA! Not even close." The scientist replied.

She's just amazing. The genius boy smiled softly.

- "Hey, doesn't matter. All I'm hearing is: Chase lost, and I'm a better teacher." Adam grinned.

- "No way! You are not a better teacher than I am!" The green hazel-eyed boy exclaimed.

- "Hey, calm down, dude! You've got plenty of over things to be proud of." The tall guy replied. "And once we find out what those things are, you are gonna feel a lot better." He put his hand on his brother's shoulder.

Chase moved his brother's hand away from him.

- "Look, there are still two more tests to evaluate your students' progress, and I'm sure your team will do better on the next one. It's more... cerebral." Donald explained.
