The next day, the three youngest mentors were in the training area, with their students.

- "All right, listen up, guys. We're introducing a new element to training: the bionic battle." Chase started.

- "Each week, two of you will be pitted against each other in a physical challenge." Maddie continued.

- "To the death?" Spin asked, excited.

- "Calm down." Margot put her hands on her brother's shoulders.

- "Yes, Big D built this multi-million-dollar facility to train and house you just so we could pick you off one by one." Leo sassed.

- "No, Spin." The alien girl shook her head. "It's just to evaluate your skills and challenge you."

- "So, each week's winner will earn points toward advancing to the next bionic skill level." The genius boy added. "And the loser gets...well, humiliated." He smiled.

The Matthews girl, gently, smacked his arm.

The green hazel-eyed boy snickered.

- "Spin, since you're the youngest, you get to choose an opponent first." Bree said.

- "Yes!" The youngest Krane exclaimed, before looking at the students in the room with a threatening look. "Scared? Ya should be."

- "Bring it on, little man." Alison said to her brother.

The geniuses snickered.

- "No, no. This isn't about scaring people. No one's going to get hurt." Chase explained, softly. A basketball was thrown at his back. "Ow!"

- "And that, kids, is what you call a bad timing." Maddie replied, causing the students to chuckle.

The genius boy glared at her.

The mentors walked into the common area to find Adam, his students, and Bob shooting hoops.

- "What are you doing?" The green hazel-eyed boy asked.

- "We're throwing this thing." The blonde boy showed the basketball, and then, the hoop. "At that thing. I'm an athlete." He smiled widely.

- "Adam, you're a mentor now. You have to start acting like one." The Davenport girl said.

- "And you are supposed to be in the training area with us." The alien girl told the Krane boy.

- "I am. We're supposed to teach them how to use their abilities. So, we're havin' a bionic slam dunk contest." The tall guy explained.

- "Incoming!" Bob shouted as he jumped to the hoop and hung up himself to the net.

- "Whoa!" Chase exclaimed, worried.

- "Bob, get down from there!" Bree yelled.

- "Sorry, little lady. No can do." The Krane boy replied.

- "Little lady, seriously?" The Matthews girl frowned.

- "I didn't tell him to call her like that." The eldest teenager defended.

- "Why not?" The Davenport girl asked the blonde.

- "Because I'm afraid of heights!" Bob screamed.

- "But you can levitate." The genius boy frowned.

- "Oh, I'm good going up. It's the going down part that never ends well." The Krane boy replied.

- "If you came to your class, you could learn how to control it." Maddie slapped her forehead. "We should transfer Bob to Adam's group, seriously."

The green hazel-eyed boy pushed his open jacket to put his hands on his hips.
