Charles Diaz won an Army scholarship and later graduated with a mechanical engineering degree. At age 21, he joined the United States Army before being selected for special forces training. After finishing the Q-Course in 83 weeks, he was then assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group. Some time later, he joined the Shadow Company and was assigned to Team Division. Expert in the deployment, operation and repair of advanced equipment and weapon systems that they use, Diaz is an indispensable part of his unit, even though his dry humor gets under their skins.
