29) Don't Be Suspicious, Don't Be Suspicious

A/N: this one is pretty short, but exams are killing me so you gonna have to cope

-Dick POV-

Nico was up to something. As soon as summer began, he was spending more and more time away from the manor. They didn't think he was avoiding them or anything, but he was definitely hiding stuff.

"Hey, I'm going to meet the seven and company at the Olympia Project," Nico called as he picked up his messenger bag and began heading to the door.

The bat boys all shared a look before Tim spoke up. "Should I tag along? Rachel has been keeping me updated, but I haven't actually gotten to see the renovations yet."

Nico shrugged casually, but they all noticed that way his shoulders tensed slightly. "Nah, there isn't too much to see yet, though maybe next week. Leo's bringing over some more Hephaestus kids soon so the progress should be picking up. Today is more for us to hang out and relax."

"You should invite them to the manor. We have a pool, media room, and plenty of space. Plus, there isn't a lot of relaxing stuff to do it the East End." Dick watched Nico put on a fake smile at the idea.

"I'll let them know that they have an invite," he said quickly before moving towards a shadow. "See you guys later!"

They watched as their brother disappeared into the shadows.

"We're following him, right?" Jason asked, looking between the brothers.

"Tt- obviously."

The boys all smiled before running to change. Should they have probably gone in civies considering it was still day time? Most likely. Did they? Nope.

It had been about twenty minutes since Nico left by the time they got to the apartments in the East End, but they didn't see any lights on in the building.

"There's no way they finished a tour already," Tim said as he looked through his binoculars. "They all have ADHD, there's no way they stayed on topic."

"Jay, call him," Dick said. "Tell him Alfred wants to know if they'll be over for dinner and see if you can tell where they are."

Jay nodded before pulling out his phone and stepping away as he called their brother.

"We should check his apartment or Aldo's. DiAngelo said they were going to hang out, so it is possible they simply went there."

Dick nodded. "But then why say anything about the Olympia Project? He could have just said they wanted to spend time together."

Tim sat back on his heels and ran a hand through his hair. "Maybe he wants us to figure it out? I mean, he knows about how we don't tell people about us being the Bats when they join the family-"

"He technically figured it out before he joined. Same with you," Dick said, not really understanding what Tim was getting at.

"Yeah, but it's still the tradition. We don't tell people, they have to figure it out on their own. Maybe he wants us to do the same."

Damian looked at Tim as is if he were an idiot. "We already know he's a vigilante, demigod, and gay. What else is there to know?"

Dick facepalmed. "I think that's what Tim's saying. What else is there? What is he keeping from us."

"It might just be Bat paranoia, but I don't think he mentioned Project Olympia for no reason. Nico is very purposeful with the information that he gives out; he wouldn't say it needlessly."

Dick spun his escrima stick in his hand. "And it has something to do with the others. He specifically said 'the Seven and company,' so they're apart of it."

"Could they be forming a team of their own? DiAngelo said he wasn't alone as a solo vigilante, could this be what he meant?"

Before either of them could respond, Jason came back. "Nico said that they changed their plans and decided to head to Camp Jupiter to hang out, so none of them will be there tonight."

"Including Nico?" the eldest asked.

"Yep, he said that he was gonna stay the night at Rayna's house."

"Did he say when he was coming back?"

Jason shrugged. "He said he'd probably see us in a few days at a meeting, whatever that means."

The brothers all shared a look. "What meeting?" 

A/N: Don't worry, tomorrow's chapter should be pretty long. Also, as of rn, I am writing like day of each update which is super weird for me, so lmk of you have any fun ideas cause I might just include them in a chapter.
