A/N: this one is long... that's all.
-Dick POV-
Dick was sitting on a bench in the manor's gym, cooling down from his workout, when the doors slammed open and in stomped Nico.
The demigod didn't even spare him a glance as he went straight to the punching bag and began angrily wrapping his wrists, muttering under his breath in Ancient Greek.
"You good, Nico?" Dick asked, walking over to his little brother.
Nico glanced at him before letting out a humorless laugh and beginning to hit the punching bag. "Good? No. I'm not good. I am, however, debating murder."
Dick chuckled lightly. "Oh really? I couldn't tell. Care to tell me about who you might or might not murder, or would that make me an accomplice?"
Nico rolled his eyes, still beating the ever loving shit out of the bag. Dick really thought it might break.
"Everyone."
Dick shook his head light, smiling fondly at his brother. "Wow. That sounds like quite the murder spree."
"I'm starting with Lex Luthor and G. Gordon Godfrey," Nico muttered out after a particularly hard hit.
Dick nodded. "Makes sense. They both are big pains in the asses, but is there a specific reason as for why?"
Nico grit his teeth, punching the bag so hard that Dick half expected it to fall off the chain it was hanging from, and turned to look at Dick.
"5 raids. We have done 5 raids since the media found out about us. In one month, we have done more to stop Meta Trafficking than the league has in the year— no offense— but those fuckers are throwing a hissy fit!"
Dick looked at his brother in surprise. He really thought it was going to take more prying for him to spill.
"What did they say?"
Nico turned back to the punching bag and began beating it senseless. "Check your phone."
Dick looked at him confused, but still pulled out his phone and immediately saw media alerts about 'Luthor's Call For A Public Explanation'. He clicked the clip that was linked to the post and grit his teeth as he heard Godfrey's annoying voice come out of his speaker.
"So, Luthor, I am told you have something you want to say to these mysterious vigilantes that seem to be running around with no restrictions or guidance?"
"Precisely," Lex said with his creepy smirk. "As Secretary-General of the UN, it is my job to be both diplomate and advocate, not of any nation, but for the people of every nation. I symbolize the ideals of the UN and work towards what is good for every law abiding citizen— yet these new vigilantes are exactly that: Vigilantes. Yes, they are doing great work, saving children and teens from traffickers, but they are doing it illegally.
"We have laws for a reason. Vigilanteism in the US is still illegal in 38 states. This is not because 'vigilantism' is evil by nature, but because it is dangerous. Not only are these vigilantes putting themselves in danger with their reckless actions, but they are putting the children that they are attempting to save at risk as well."
Godfrey cut in. "You could have just said that they are putting children at risk considering they look to be barely out of middle school. What kind of parent allows their child to put on a ridiculous costume and actively enter a building full of human traffickers?"
