A/N: this one is long and part of is is just a transcription from session 3, ep 1 of young Justice— which I hate doing cause it gets repetitive for people who have seen the show, but it explains the situation well, so I did it.

Time was a bitch.

The day after Nico's adoption day party, Dick temporarily quit the YJ team so he had no technical connection with the Justice League. The team was technically a top secret covert mission team, so no one was supposed to know about them, but a concerning amount of people did. Dick was taking on meta bases over seas while Nico and his team were covering the US. The demigod didn't love the set up, but he accepted it for the time being.

It was the second week in August already and there he stood, back in the Watchtower— however it wasn't for a disciplinary meeting this time, so he counted that as a win.

Nico stepped through the Zeta tube, shivering slightly at the feeling, before his eyes landed on the YJ team.

"M'gann, what are you all doing here?" he asked as he approached the group. She had been named the leader while Dick was away.

The Martian smiled at him. "As team leader, I can sit in on meetings and the rest of the team is here to get an update about how the JL space diplomacy trip is going."

Nico blinked at her for a second. "Space diplomacy?"

Tim sighed and stepped forward. "Remember when we briefed you about who Vandal Savage was?"

Nico nodded.

"Remember how we told you that he took control over the entire Justice League?"

"Hmmhmm."

"And the missing 16 hours?"

"Yeah."

"And how they attacked the planet Rimbor while under his control."

"Sounds familiar."

Tim just looked at Nico for a long moment, probably expecting a realization to happen, but then just let out a sigh. "The diplomacy mission is to help restore the reputation of the JL and earth throughout the galaxy. They did one right after their trial, and are doing another one now. Diana is leading them."

Nico looked surprised. "Lady Diana is off world?"

"Why do you always call her lady?" Cissie cut in.

Nico glanced at the girl and shrugged. "My people hold Themyscira is high regards. She is technically a princess there."

"She doesn't call you Lord," Virgil said.

"Because up until recently, we didn't want anyone to know anything about where my team and I come from. Plus, none of us like our honorifics. Our parents do, but we don't."

"I thought Bruce Wayne-" Tracie began.

Nico cut her off. "Bruce is my dad, but he's not my only parent. My father is still alive, though he doesn't legally exist and he, along with others like him, doesn't interact much with his children. For all legal purposes, I was orphaned when my mamma died."

"But-"

Kaldur stepped into the main room, cutting off the conversation. "Miss Martian, Ghost King, we are waiting for you."

Nico gave the team a nod before following the Atlantean into the meeting room. M'gann immediately went to stand by the door while Nico stood by the corner of the table. It was rare for him to be invited to League meetings that weren't for him getting in trouble, so they didn't give him a chair.
