A/N: dis one is a little bit longer

-Dick POV-

After silently eating in the cafeteria, the group went to check on the others. The nurses were still not thrilled about Piper being out of bed, but they let them be. They entered the room that the other 3 were sharing to find them all laughing. They wanted to put Perdita in her own room, but apparently the girl refused to leave Rachel and Garf.

Piper smirked as they all entered the room. "Now I feel like I'm missing out. I'm rooming with Nico, but you all seem to be having more fun."

The trio's eyes snapped to her before wide smiles spread across their faces. "Piper! We told them to put all five of us together, but they said they couldn't," Garf said.

"We worried something happened to you two because they would not tell us anything," Perdita said, looking relieved.

"Where's Neeks?" Rachel asked. "Don't tell me he made you all check on us for him."

The group all shared a look, not sure if they should tell them.

"He's talking with Bruce right now, so we thought we'd give them some privacy and come visit you all," Piper said casually, sending the Waynes a look to not say anything about his current state. "How did you manage to get a three person room. They barely let me share one with Ghosty McGoo."

Rachel laughed at the name. "Our lovely queen over there pulled rank."

Perdita laughed as she rolled her eyes. "I did not wish for us to be alone in hospital rooms. I asked for Nicodemo and you to be moved in with us, but they said they absolutely could not."

Piper chuckled as she took a seat on Rachel's bed, scooting the girl over so they could share it easily. "Nico doesn't like hospitals, so I demanded to share a room with him when we first got here. Plus I don't think 5 beds would fit in one room."

The Wayne boys et al all chuckled lightly as they sat in the bedside chairs throughout the room.

Garf's phone rang as he groaned before declining the call. "Mento won't stop calling me."

"Who?" Tim asked.

Garf powered off his phone, one that Dick noticed looked a lot like an sPhone. "Steve Dayton, my guardian."

Dick nodded, remembering the monotoned man from when he picked up Garf back in November. "He's probably just worried."

Garf scoffed. "More worried that we're gonna fall behind schedule. He's texted me like 50 times taking about how he already had to cancel's today's shoot and how I am 'responsible for the livelihoods of the entire cast and crew'."

"He sounds like he sucks," Jason said.

"Yep," The meta teen said, popping the 'p'.

Dick chuckled along with the others, but he made a mental note to try and check up on the kid more often. He remembered Nico telling them that he had a lot of stuff he was dealing with, but he wanted to be there for the kid himself.

"How are you all recovering?" Damian asked.

Rachel shrugged. "Worst we got was some rope burn and bruises from when we fell in the restaurant. They said I have a really minor concussion, probably from either the fall or when they were moving us, but I barely even have a headache."

Perdita nodded. "How are you and Nico," she asked, looking to Piper.

Piper stiffened slightly, but the only ones who seemed to notice were the bats and Rachel. "I got some pretty gross looking cuts on my wrists from trying to get out of the rope, but I can barely even feel them. Nico was barely awake when we left though, so I don't really know how he's feeling. We did have a good laugh when he woke up though, so he's at least in good spirits."
