A/N: I put the same pic again just do you could remember everyone lmao. Also this one is very long (nearly 3k)
"After months of rumors surrounding the independent vigilante known as 'Ghost King,' and the possibility of more like him, there has finally been confirmation. At 5:38 pm, in the heart of Gotham, Ghost King and his crew of vigilantes took down the infamous Joker as he attempted to rob the National Bank of Gotham. Witnesses cited that there were 11 vigilantes on the scene, but that the mysterious individuals were heard speaking to what we believe to be two additional members of the team through communication devices. Officials reported that there were no casualties and that the Joker, along with his accomplices, were all taken into custody.
"Though no member of the team would speak to any reporter on the scene, one of the hostages they freed gave a statement saying that, " hey came in and immediately began protecting the hostages. Joker open fired and instead of protecting themselves, they stood between us and them. They are heroes in very sense of the word." Despite the initial backlash that the media had upon finding out that Ghost King, and assumably his team as well, had no ties to the Justice League of America, it is clear that he is not all we originally expected. The only questions that remain are who are these heroes, where did they come from, and what will they do next?"
The screen turned off as all eyes in the room turned to looked at Nico. The demigod just looked at them awkwardly, not quite sure what to say.
"You know, when you first said that you did not want to be associated with the League, we all assumed that it meant that you would at least attempt to be covert," Black Cary said with a raised eyebrow.
Nico shrugged. "It was an unavoidable situation. Someone under my protection was being held hostage, so I had to act. The others just wanted to join in."
"Speaking of these 'others', I believe it is time that you explained more." Superman looked at him, though he didn't seem to be saying it hostilely. "We have been informed that you met with Aquaman and Wonder Woman to explain the entirety of the situation, however that doesn't mean that we all agree to be kept in the dark."
"That's fair," Nico said with a nod before he stood from his chair. "If someone could pull up on the screen the picture that the media was able to take of us?"
Bruce clicked a button in front of him, causing a holographic keyboard to appear, and typed for a moment before the picture showed up behind Nico.
The demigod reached into the shadows and pulled out a wooden stick, the type that teachers use to point at stuff on a whiteboard. Why did he have it? He had no idea, but it was very helpful that he did.
"Obviously, you know who I am. If you don't, then that is no one's fault except your own considering I have been working with you for nearly a year and this is also my like third disciplinary hearing this year," he said, pointing to himself on the screen. "We don't have a hierarchy on the team, per se, but there are some people who are historically more of the leaders than others. I am leading this team, but in the situation that I am not present, I would speak to one of these four."
Nico pointed at Percy, Annabeth, Jason, and Reyna. "Riptide is my cousin and has water-related powers. He was one of the leaders the last time we worked together. Architect is a genius at battle strategy and planning. She is dating Riptide and was also one of our leaders. The General, if you could not guess by her name, is a military tactician and a born leader. Her powers are mainly used in support. And Storm, another one of my cousins, is a retired leader. He used to lead, but stepped down in pursuit of other things, however he is more than capable of leading the team in my absence. His powers, like his name suggests, are storm related."
