A/N: Looooooooong chapter. also, unrelated, Tim is so baby girl

-Tim POV-

Gods, why did I have to go on this stupid field trip, Tim thought to himself as he wandered around the museum with Bart and Tiffany. He loved VH, he was a great teacher, but gods he was bored. They were forced to turn in their phones as soon as they got on the bus, so he couldn't even watch the livestream of his brother's speech at the Taos Youth Center.

As the wandered aimlessly, the quiet museum seemed to fill with whispers. They were in Gotham, so that wasn't that weird for Tim considering he was a Wayne and people whispered about him no matter where he went, but this was different. People were huddled together, whispering about something on their phones.

"Is it just me, or do you also immediately think it's about Nico when you see people whispering about something on their phones," Bart whispered to him in Spanish, knowing Tiffany didn't speak the language.

Tim snorted, looking around at the groups around the room, none of them seeming to care anymore about the exhibits. "This feels like a prank— like VH asked all the people here to make us annoyed over the fact that we don't have our phones."

"That feels like something he would do," Tiffany said with a laugh. "Though I highly doubt this is acting. They seem genuinely stressed."

The blonde seemed to think for a moment before grabbing both of their arms and pulling them after her as she walked up to a group of college aged people.

"Hi, we're on a field trip and don't have our phones," she said with a smile. "Can you guys please tell us why everything is whispering and staring at their phones?"

One of the dudes who was sporting an oversized hoodie, baggie cuffed jeans, and a tote bag immediately tilted his phone towards them so they could see. "That Ghost King guy was giving a speech and right after it, there was an attack."

Tim felt anxiety rip through him as he saw a replay of the live steam. His brother was in the middle of walking away when he suddenly clicked his comm and whipped around, saying something to his teammates before yelling out a warning to the crowd and throwing up a wall of shadows between the crowd and the shooter. The camera immediately began shaking as people began to flee, before the feed cut out completely.

"The people who were there are being told to shelter in place because bombs keep going off. People are saying they're in random places, so they don't know where to evacuate people to safely," a girl with bright red hair and a nose ring said as she showed her phone that had an social media story pulled up from someone who was there.

"Are there any injuries or deaths?" Tim asked, feeling his blood pressure skyrocket.

The guy shook his head. "Don't know. Apparently some of the New Olympians are trying to take out the original sniper while the others shield and evacuate the civilians."

Tom grabbed Bart's forearm in stress as he tried his best to keep his face from showing his true panic. Bart looked at him, his eyes holding the same repressed anxious look.

Tim thanked the people before pulling Bart away, Tiffany close on their heels.

"Where are you two going?" The girl asked.

"Bathroom," Bart said quickly.

They had entered a secluded hallway when Tiffany grabbed them both by the shoulders, stopping them in their tracks.

"You both know, don't you," she said incredulously.

Tim froze. "Know what?"

Tiffany narrowed her eyes at both of them, studying their faces.
