A/N: Tis short, but I'm dying still so...

Nico sat in the passenger seat of the car, running his sweaty palms over the knees.

"Are you sure about this?" Alfred asked, glancing over at him.

Nico gave a small nod. "It'll be fine. I can't stay inside forever."

"I am aware, but you can always take more time. No one wants you to push yourself too hard," the elderly man said.

Nico nodded, looking out the window as the buildings passed. "I know, but it's just one meeting and then I'm meeting up with my brothers. If I need help, I've known Grover for a while. We might not be super close, but he had my back."

Alfred smiled softly. "I am glad you are able to recognize that you have many friends and allies. Just remember, if you need me, I'll be close by."

Nico smiled softly and gave him a nod as he slowed the car to a halt in front of a coffee shop. The demigod looked at the man and gave him a nod of assurance that he would be fine as he said, "Grazie mille, nonno."

"Prego, nipote," Alfred said back as Nico got out of the car.

The demigod smiled at him before closing the door and watching the older man drive off. Nico took a deep breath before walking into the regular looking coffee shop that was on the corner of Gotham's Fashion District. He walked up to the register and was about to order when a familiar face walked in.

"Hey Nico," Grover said with a smile as he walked up to Nico. "Long time no see."

Nico gave him a small smile. "Hi Grover. What do you want?"

Grover quickly said an order, though Nico was pretty sure he didn't plan on drinking it and solely wanted the cup it came in as a snack. Nico gave his order before swiping the lotus hotel and casino card that he had gotten back from Kaldur and gesturing for the satyr to follow him as he found them a table in the corner away from the other patrons of the shop.

"You're still using the card?" Grover said, looking mildly surprised.

Nico shrugged. "They took 70 years from me, so it's only fair that I use it for the next 70 years. After that, I'll ditch it."

Grover laughed at that for a moment before sobering up and looking at him. "So, you said you wanted to discuss the DG Program?"

Nico nodded, glancing around to make sure no one was paying attention to them, before looking back at the half goat across from him. "I think we need to make a move on the half-bloods that don't know yet. It's too risky to have them outside of camp borders right now."

"All of them?" Garf said, looking reasonably shocked. "There are over a hundred out there spanning from ages 5-12. That would be a massive-"

"Not all of them," Nico said quickly. "I think everyone above the age of 8, and all the ones without mortal families. I wish we could get all of them, but I don't think we have the manpower to move all the younger ones and still be able to explain to the parents who don't know what their kids are."

A barista set the coffees in front of them before walking off, giving Nico a double glance, but otherwise saying nothing.

Grover let out a long breath. "I would need to talk to the senior members in the Council of the Cloven Elders in order to get more satyrs in the field to help with translation— not to mention talking to Chiron about sending even more back up to the DGs in the field. If we need to get them all to the camps, then we should have bigger teams protecting them which will attract more monsters."

Nico nodded. "Everyone on my team has volunteered to help. Reyna and Frank said the Senate approved them to send out some legionaries to help and if we really need it, I have some contacts in the Justice League who are willing to help as well."

Grover nodded. "Okay, I can head back to CHB and talk to the council. We should probably be able to start moving them out by tomorrow morning. With the Romans' help, we should be good on support, but I'll let you know if we need your contacts."

"I already had Chiron send out some more backup to the DGs this morning."

"Didn't they already get back up?" Grover asked.

Nico nodded. "Yeah, but I wanted more people there. I just... I don't know. I have a feeling."

Grover, knowing what that really meant for demigods, nodded— his eyes serious. "I'll see if we can start transporting them by tonight."

"Thank you," Nico said.

Grover just gave him a smile. "I've got your back."

Nico nodded. "And I've got yours."

Vote. Comment. Tell me which book I should put out first: The Day the Music Died or Don't Fear the Reaper (yes, both are titled after song names, and both have already been partially written).
