-Tim POV-
The second that Nico disappeared into the shadows, Tim sat down next to Kon on one of the couches, getting glances from both Clark and Bruce, as he turned his attention to the TV at the front of the room.
"This is Iris West-Allen, reporting live from in front of the UN building." the familiar reporter said over the TV speaker, causing Bart to cheer.
"Get it grandma!"
Cassie elbowed the speedster, shushing him before they all looked back at the TV.
"The media has been in a frenzy ever since the Lex Luthor interview with G. Gordon Godfrey that aired last week, sparking controversy surrounding the new group of vigilantes that have become quite the topic of conversation in recent weeks. Today, the leader of this group, Ghost King, will be speaking in front of the General Assembly in a live broadcast to the nations of the world. This is the first time where a non-Justice League hero, that is unassociated with any given nation, has been invited to appear in front of the UN. With 10 minutes until the start of the special assembly, we are just waiting for Ghost King to arrive."
They all watched the screen with nervous anticipation before they saw Nico walking up the gated off path towards the entrance.
"Here he is folks. This is one of the first sightings we've had of Ghost King during the daytime. Though there are pictures of the vigilante online, most of them have been blurry or shot from a distance," Iris said as Nico walked past where she was. His head was held high and despite the yells from reporters and civilians at the gates, he didn't look bothered by it at all. His face was neutral. "It appears that he is wearing something different than just his usual uniform. Hopefully this is addressed at some point because it is definitely an unexpected surprise."
Nico disappeared from view as he entered the building and they all seemed to hold their breath.
Tim heard the demigods begin praying quietly under their breath in Ancient Greek, earning strange glances from the heroes in the room who did not know what they were, but no one said a thing.
"Ghost King has entered the building. He will have to pass through security before he is allowed entrance to the House Meeting Space. With 8 minutes until the beginning of the meeting, we will go to a brief commercial break before this all begins. Stay tuned for this historical meeting."
Bruce clicked a button to mute the TV while the ads played and ran a hand over his face. Selina rested a hand on his shoulder, having arrived just after Nico left. Bruce never said anything about it, but Tim was pretty sure they were trying to hold off on Nico meeting her yet. Bruce didn't know that Nico already knew about them seeing each other.
Dick looked to Diana. "What's the security like?" He asked, probably wanting to know what Nico was dealing with at every moment.
"It is similar to what you might go through at an Airport. There are no weapons allowed in the building unless it is carried by a security person that has been cleared. It has never been too bad for myself or other Leaguers, however he is not of the League. I am not sure what they will have him do."
Dick nodded, raking his hands through his hair. Cass sat on the arm of the chair next to the oldest brother and pat his head.
"He will be okay," the girl signed. "Nico can handle himself."
Percy nodded. "Cass is right."
"You know sign language?" Clark asked, probably not expecting it from the teen.
