A/N: this is Garf and Perdita, in case you didn't know

Nico walked down the streets of downtown LA with Garf, the duo getting stopped 5 times already for selfies with fans— though weirdly enough they all seemed equally excited about meet Nico as they did Garf.

"Garfield!" A voice called from down the street, a thick accent evident in her voice.

"Hello your majesty," Garf said with a smirk as he hugged the queen.

She smacked his arm. "I have told you many times, you do not get to call me that."

Garf just smiled and turned towards Nico. "Perdita, I'd like to introduce you to-"

"Nicodemo DiAngelo-Wayne," she said, finishing the sentence for him with a gasp. "You did not tell me your friend was a Wayne."

Nico chuckled lightly and gave a small bow to the girl. "It's a pleasure to meet you Queen Perdita, and in Garf's defense: he only found out my identity when I was dying."

Perdita stuck out a hand to shake his. "First of all, there will be no bowing or titles among friends. Secondly, the pleasure of meeting you is all mine. I have seen the recent articles about you all over the news and I think it is very noble what you are doing."

"Thank you very much your maj— I mean, Perdita. When I did it, I never expected it to go this far, but I'm glad it has. I can't say I am a fan of the spotlight, but if it starts a much needed conversation, then I am happy to bear the burden."

Garf glanced between them. "Someone care to explain the situation? I'm kinda behind on the whole 'current events' thing since Dayton blocked like everything on my phone."

Nico laughed as the group began to walk, security surrounding them. "I'm gonna get you a secret phone. I'm sure Tech is more than willing to make you a custom one."

"That'd be totally crash," Garf said with a laugh.

"As for what we were referring to, Nicodemo stood up for a friend of his who got in trouble for breaking dress code at his school." Perdita began typing on her phone, assumably trying to pull up the article.

"That's awesome, but why was this all over the news?"

Nico chuckled as he saw Perdita hand her phone to Garf with the photos of him and the other with the Mayor.

Garf stopped in his tracks with his jaw dropped. "I have so many questions."

"Go for it," Nico said as he shoved the teen lightly so that they could keep walking towards the cafe they had decided to try.

"Why don't you have your leg on?"

"Garfield!" Perdita said as she swatted his arm. "That is very rude."

"Eh it's fine," the demigod said with a shrug. "It got broken, so Tech was fixing it. I wanted to skip school that day, but Bruce said I had to go. I had a spare, but I hate it, so I just went legless."

"Is that Bart, Kon, and Tim in skirts too? And why are Cassie and the other girl in pants?"

"Girls can't wear pants on assembly days. The other girl is Tiffany Lauzier, she was the friend of mine who got dress coded. The school didn't have any spare uniforms in her size, so I gave her my pants and put on a skirt. I knew that we had better odds on not getting in trouble if there were more of us, so I got the others in on it."

"This is totally crash, but why has it been all over the news for the last few weeks? It's just one photo with the Mayor."

Perdita laughed. "It was one photo with the Mayor, leaked photos from the school, and an interview with the Lois Lane. Then, the school tried to punish him and Mr. Wayne showed up at the school in a skirt, which also got leaked. And then all of the Wayne sons were seen in Gotham in skirts as a show of solidarity."
