When Worlds Collide

22) Camp = Chaos

A/N: tis long, but less long than yesterday's chapter

The room fell silent, the demigods all exchanging glances. Nico watched as the girl's confidence began to slowly slip away as no one stood to support her.

Nico looked to his family and whispered, "yeah, sorry for what I'm about to do." The son of Hades stood on his chair causing Juliet's eyes to widen. "The Son of Hades accepts."

Whispers filled the room as everyone began to debate about how they wanted to proceed.

Gio stood up next after Pollux gave him a nod. "The Sons of Dionysus accept."

"The children of Athena accept," Malcom said, jumping up onto his chair.

Someone from each table stood until it was finally just the Ares campers left.

Clarisse looked like she was about to stand when two familiar demigods ran into the room, both running to different tables and stepping onto chairs.

"The Son of Poseidon accepts!" Percy yelled, giving his signature trouble maker smile.

"The Son of Jupiter accepts!" Jason yelled, beaming.

Clarisse instantly stood. "No way you're gonna one up me Jackson! The children of Ares accept!"

Chiron stood and clapped his hands, silencing the chatter throughout the room. "The call has been answered. Let the unclaimed come forward."

Juliet jumped down from her chair, beaming while she and 11 other kids moved to the front of the room.

Nico looked at his family. "Go to the front, you count as unclaimed right now."

They all rose from their seats, looking exceedingly confused, but did as he said anyways.

"We have 17 demigods/guests, we need one more. Juliet, you have the honor."

Juliet smiled as she looked around the room, all the demigods silently praying to get picked. "I choose Nico DiAngelo, son of Hades."

Nico smiled and hopped off of his chair, going to the front of the room and joining the line of demigods and his family.

"Care to explain what's happening?" Dick whispered.

"You'll see," Nico said with a smirk.

Chiron turned to Mr. D. "As the only Olympian present, do you accept the call and grant your blessing?"

Mr. D set down his can of Diet Coke and looked at the line up before shrugged. "Sure. Why not."

Juliet bounced a little with excitement.

Chiron nodded to the god before turning to face the crowd of demigods. "Most of you know what is happening, but since we have some newcomers I will explain. Juliet has made a call of reclassification that has been accepted by each cabin. This means that for this upcoming game of Capture the Flag, the unclaimed demigods will act as councilors and everyone will be temporarily reassigned to different cabins. Once it is decided which cabin they will take over, they will take turns selecting their campers. These will become the cabins and therefore the teams for the game. As decided last week, red team is Athena and Blue team is Ares. Juliet, which cabin will you claim?"

Juliet took a step forward. "I claim Athena."

The Athena cabin cheered before Chiron raised his hand to silence them. "And who do you assign Ares?"

The girl turned to look at the line up of demigods/Waynes. "I choose Bruce Wayne."

Nico laughed as the Ares table cheered. He shoved his dad out of line and towards where Chiron and the girl stood. The man look confused, but walked up to Juliet anyways and shook her hand.
