"Fuck.What time is it?"I asked
"2:11."40 told me
I grabbed my phone.
"I have to call Jas..it's her birthday."I said lowly
"When was the last time you talked to her?"He asked me
I sighed."Uh..it's been months."
"Hm."He nodded
I unlocked my phone and went to her contact.
My thumb hovered over it.
I finally clicked it and put it to my ear.
"Hello?"She said sleepily
"Hey Jas.."I said
"Aubrey?Hey.."She said
"I know Im a little late but I uh..just wanted to wish you a happy birthday."I told her
"Thank you.I appreciate it."She said
"No problem.So uh your boyfriend get you something nice?"I asked her
"Who said I had a boyfriend?"She asked
"No one.I just assumed..you'd moved on by now."I said
"...."She was silent
"Jas..you there?"I asked
"Yeah..Im here."She said lowly
"What was that supposed to mean?"She asked
"N-Nothing.I didn't mean it like that."I explained
"Uh..thanks for calling."She said
"Jas wait."I said
I heard her sigh.
"Im sorry."I told her
"..It's okay Aubrey.I should go to bed."She said
"Okay..maybe we can have dinner soon?"I asked
"I don't know about that."She said
"Okay well think on it and let me know."I said
"Will do.Uh goodnight Aubrey."She said
"Goodnight.I love you..still."I told her
"Uhm thanks."She hung up
I sighed.
"That didn't sound good."40 said
"It wasn't..I think she's really over me."I said lowly
"Well..it's been a year and you guys didn't end on the greatest terms.."He explained
"I know but..I have to get her back."I said
