REYANSH'S POV

Sometimes the best feeling is a long drive at night with your would be wife.
The chilly weathet and soft music with her was the moment I would love to live in for life.

The jouney took about 2 hours and we reached The Gateway of India. I didn't even realise how time went so rapidly.

We stood leaning on the bonet of the car. Her head was on my shoulder and my one arm was wrapped around her waist. We adrored the night skycovered with the twinkling stars together. The breeze gave us warmth and a soft feeling. Since it was midnight, tyere was noone to disturb our precious moment.

My eyes shifted to her, who was watching the scenic beauty. A smile made my lips twitch and my eyes softened. I quickly took outmy phone from my pocket and dropped a small message to my assistant without her knowing it.

Just in a few moments, a car pulled over and my assistant rushed out, breathing heaving and carrying a packet. He looked restless.

"Sir, your icecream."

He adressed.

"Hmm. Thanks."

I handled the packet and he left.

Shivaani shockingly looked at me and I softly chuckled.

I took out her favourite chocolate flavoured icecream and we both shared the medium sized tub.

As she was busy telling her gossips, I litsened and admired her every action, her words, her lips, her giggling and her most beautiful pair of eyes.

She laughed out hard as she laid out a joke while I just adored her.

Suddenly I felt something in my heart, some strange yet valid fluctuations. My eyes grew stren and my face went neutral.

"Shivaani-"

I uttered deeply.

"Haan?"

[Yes?]

She smiled and sticked her eyes on me.

My heart skipped a beat and felt  my words stammer. My pupils vibrated and dilated in size. I gathered courage and finally said the thing I wanted to from a long time now.

"Let's get married."

An unexpected silence slashed between us. Her hands stopped with the spoon and tub in them. Her wide grin unknowingly changed into a puzzled expression at the speed of thunder.

My heart skipped a beat sensing the tension between us.

"Kya hua Shivu? Tum mujh se shaadi nahi karna chahti?"

[What happened Shivu? You don't wanna marry me?]

I hesitantly questioned while my heart was still not at it's usual pace. My temprature increased and I felt a bit hot.

She lowered her gaze for a few seconds before finally saying what's going on in her mind.

"It's not like that I don't wanna marry you or I don't want to be a part of your world. But the thing is the dark side of my life is quite dangerous. Being in the Mafia is same as stepping on the road of death. A road where even I don't know how many enemies I would make. I totally don't care about myself or my life but the thing that I fear to lose is my family and my family includes you too Reyansh.
