Chapter 67

It's been a while since I've updated this book. I've been busy with another book which interested me more than this. But hopefully I'll be able to publish a couple more to finish season 4.

Y/n POV

The full moon hung above us as we stealthily approached the building where Kash and Darius are currently in. Darius was supposed to meet up with us if he managed to slip out of Kash's sight for a moment.

"We still don't know what Kash's next move is, or why he wants to control those dinos," whispers Brooklyn as she looks at the building from behind a tree. Kenji whispers back to her, "I know why. That dude is just a total psycho. And the longer Darius is with him, the more danger he's in."

We waited for a couple of minutes and Ben started to pace as he muttered, "He's late."

Sammy starts to have negative thoughts as she asks out loud, "What if something happened to him?" Yasmina tries to comfort her by saying, "Nothing happened to him." But she doesn't believe this herself because she whispers, "What if something did happen to him?"

A noise catches our attention as we all turn to see Darius slowly exiting the building. He starts running towards us with a smile on his face when suddenly a small ball of fire is shot at his feet. The ball explodes which causes him to fall onto the ground with a scream.

I cover my mouth at the sudden attack as a dinosaur-looking robot walks towards Darius. Kash walks out with a smug look while holding a golf club, "I see you've found your new babysitter."

He corrects himself, "Or rather, it's found you."

The psycho begins to explain, "It's part of my new fleet of upgraded models. I call it BRAD-X. After you disappeared, it seemed like a good time to take this baby for a spin."

Darius slowly stands up before Kash asks, "BT-dubs, what are you doing out here?" Darius puts on an act to fool Kash, "Honestly? I've been cooped up all day, and I'm bored. Can't I go for a walk?"

Kash smiles as he responds, "Sure you can. And from now on, BRAD-X will be right there with you. And in case, you get any ideas..."

Instead of telling, he decides to show what he was about to explain. Kash starts to swing the golf club towards the BRAD-X, trying to destroy it. The robot barely budged at the blows and the golf club got bent.

Kash fixes his crooked glasses before he smiles and throws the club towards Darius. "This new model's virtually indestructible." He walks away towards the building and the BRAD-X's head follows him before snapping back towards Darius.

Darius sighs in defeat as he's forced to follow Kash with the huge robot following behind as it's footsteps are loudly heard.

Before the door closes on Darius, he turns towards our direction and puts up six fingers. As the door closes, Ben comments, "Six..."

"What does that mean?" Kenji asks and Brooklyn says, "No idea. But we need to know what Darius knows."

"Six must mean something important... but what could it be?" Aleem questions himself. I turn towards him as I add, "We need more context."

~Time Skip~

The sun was already in the sky as we went to Mae to tell her the news. She didn't take it too well as she said, "That coward turned a robot loose on a child?!"

She tries to sit up but grunts in pain at her injury and Ben slowly pushes her back so she's leaning on something. Kenji approaches Mae as he adds, "That thing was no joke. Kash went to town on it, and it didn't even get a scratch."
