SNOTLOUT POV:

It's been a month since the talk with Stoick and a week later I was announced heir of berk. My father was soo happy that he forgot about Stoick's talk with Astrid as I am going to Chief's house for training today I got ready in my normal attire and when I opened the door of my room I saw my father outside and he said firmly "Boyo we need to talk" and I eyed him suspiciously and I thought 'What he wants to talk about' as I said "okay let's head downstairs" then we both headed downstairs then we sat on the dining table and my mother was not here so I thought 'Maybe she is outside' then he said smirking "Boyo it's time to control berk" I looked at him confused and said "what do you mean" and he said "I think it's about time we rule over berk and to do that we need you to get engaged." I am shocked and he continues "So I was thinking to solidify your position we need a girl whose house have most power and the good influence." I told him "Dad this is a big decision and who will be with me you know what my reputation outside is and the only house who have this kind of reputation is...." as I trailed off and looked at him and he said "I know what you are thinking. I am going to offer marriage to the Hoffersons.." then I looked at him shocked and I said "But dad Astrid doesn't like me and heck not even the whole family likes me." Then he smiled devilishly and said "oh... I know it's gonna be hard but I am not gonna give up this is our Chance and I am not gonna ruin it." then I asked "when are you gonna send the proposal to the Hoffersons." And he said "oh its already done I already sent them today" Then he stand up and left and I am left here with shock on my face.

ASTRID POV:

As I said goodbye to Hiccup I patted Sneaky's head as she moaned and I laughed then Sneaky flew towards the forest to hide herself it is noon now and I am going to the Mead Hall for lunch as I left the forest towards the village I saw some people are whispering by looking at me and then I saw Fishlegs running at me and he looked worried and huffed then I asked "Fishlegs.....you okay" then after few seconds he said "Astrid we have a bigger problem.. actually you got a bigger problem." I asked worriedly "what happened" and he said "Spitelout just proposed marriage on behalf of his son to you" I am shocked and bewildered and I asked "when?" And he said "Today after he talked to Snotlout" and I started hyperventilating and said "so Snotlout knows about this" he said "Yes..."

Then I left running towards my home to see my parents as I run inside and saw that both of my parents are there. My father looked angry and my mother looked concerned as they looked at me then I said to them both "I am not marrying Snotlout and I am certainly sure that Spitelout is doing this to cement Snotlout his rule in berk" then my father came to me and hugged me and said "I am not giving you to him no matter what everybody say.." as I hugged him then my mother smiled at me and hugged me as well.

After the few minutes I told them that I am not hungry so I am going to stay at my room. As they nod and left for lunch then I laid in my bed to think what's gonna happen now and closed my eyes and slept during the whole day.

SPITELOUT POV:

when I wake I saw my wife is still sleeping then I got up and got ready then my wife got up and said "You are going somewhere" and I said "Yes and you don't need to know right now" then I left. its been almost a month since my son was announced heir and I couldn't be more happier and now I am walking towards the Hoffersons house after the few minutes I reached there and knocked their door as Harold open the door and said "Spitelout what are you doing here" and I said "I came to talk about something important" then he looked at me suspiciously and said "okay come in" as I walked in Ingrid was getting the breakfast ready and I asked "where is Astrid...." then Ingrid said "she is out said to me going to train" then we both sat at the Dining table and Ingrid doing her work and I said "I will get to the point. I am asking your daughter hand in marriage to my son Snotlout" as what I have said they looked shocked then an angry grunt came from Harold and he said angrily "I AM NOT GIVING YOU MY DAUGHTER TO YOU!!!!" As I smirked and said " Even though you don't want to give your daughter I will have her" as Ingrid said looking angry "I think you should get out"

I said "Look at it this way my son is going to be chief in the future and you daughter is the only one here on berk with the power and reputation. If she marries my son you will have our support and together we can rule over berk. Then Harold stands up said said angrily "YOUR LOSER SON WILL NOT HAVE MY DAUGHTER OVER MY DEAD BODY" then I smiled and said "No one defies the heir of berk. When he became chief he will get what he wants whether you like it or not..." as I stand up and walks towards the door to go outside and I saw villagers whispering to each other it means the rumors will go loud and clear to everyone in the village as I smirked then I walked towards my home and saw Helen is outside doing some work then I got in my house and go up to my son's room but before I could knock my son came out from the door.

STOICK POV:

As I woke up from my bed and got ready and walked out to my room to have breakfast when my breakfast is finished I sat at the dining table. I am waiting for Snotlout to come here for training.

AFTER AN HOUR LATER:

It's been an hour where is Snotlout anyway he always comes on time as I got up from the dining table and walked towards the door and I opened it saw many villagers were whispering something. I walked towards one of the villagers and I asked "Can I ask what is going on here" then she turned towards me and said "Chief..... Actually Spitelout just proposed marriage to the Hoffersons for his son" I am shocked of what I heard then I saw Snotlout and I ran towards him as he looked shocked to see me. I said " Get in the house.... now" as he nodded and walked towards my house then we both enter and sat at the dining table and I said "Can I ask why your father just proposed marriage for you?" As he looked worried and said "I didn't know about this I just found out today After talking to my father." And I said "Snotlout she already like someone else and he is not from berk " as he looked shocked amd worried as he said "What do I do now? My father isn't even listening to me" and I said "Don't do anything. as much as I know Harold. he will reject that offer." As he nod and said "I can't believe how Astrid will take it. She will kill me And not just that my friendship with her will be in danger and I don't want her to be in my family mess."

I said "Just talk to her okay..." as he nod. Then I sighed and said "Let's start training then" as I got up from the dining table and grab the books to train him. And after that it was just like normal day with no other mishap except with the rumors of engagement.

ASTRID POV:

As I open my eyes I saw that it was already the night time then I woke up and got some pen and paper. Then sat down on the bed I wrote down to Hiccup about what has happened today about my engagement and about the frustration I am feeling. Just after the few minutes I completed the letter put towards my drawer. As I looked at my window I saw villagers leaving the Mead Hall Maybe the dinner is over and then I saw Snotlout coming from the Mead Hall I got angry then I ran down the stairs from my home and open the door and ran towards him as he looked at me worried and I said "Let's talk...." then I saw everyone is looking at me and I continued "In private.." as he nod and walked with me and we go there where no one else can be mean at the back of my house and I firmly asked him "What the heck Snotlout. Engagement, what is going on here." he got worried and said "I just found out about this today. He never told me anything about this. Astrid.... I know this is bad. I never would have do this to you. You are my friend and all this flirting was just for a show so that my dad can atleast accept me." Then I sighed and said "Okay I get it. its not your fault and my dad said he is gonna reject this proposal. " as he nod and relaxed then he asked "Astrid I heard from Stoick that you like someone?" I am shocked because I can't believe Stoick said that to him and he continued "Look don't blame Stoick he was really worried about you so he told me....I know you want to keep it a secret. I will respect that and I will not tell anyone" then I relaxed and said "Yes I have someone I like but he is far away for now and also he is not from this village." As he nod and said "Astrid Do not worry about this. Everything is gonna be fine." As I nod and he said "Goodnight" the I said "Goodnight... Snotlout". Then as he left I left to my home to sleep because I couldn't go to the Mead Hall I am not much hungry today.
