NIGHTMARES

STOICK POV:

We left in the morning and now it's night we all already ate dinner and the tents have been set, the wood have been collected and now everyone is sleeping except me and In this tent Gobber is sleeping beside me and snoring. Hiccup, Astrid and other Council Members have their own quarters on the boat. Then I sighed and got up and got out of my tent and saw many tents and every tent is dark means they are sleeping we put torches around the village so if the enemy come we can be ready to attack and some of the berk people and guards of the empire are here as well. Then I started walking in the Village. Then I saw someone I couldn't believe. It is Valka roaming around the village and she is with her Dragon Cloudjumper then I called "Valka...." as she flinched and looked towards me and she sighed and said "Stoick... why are you up this late." Then I said "I couldn't sleep... and you" Then she sighed and said "Couldn't sleep either.... so looking at berk. It's been a while since I was here..." as I nod then I nervously said "Should I-I s-s-show you a-around..." I am nervous right now because I haven't been talking to her for a while and it's been twenty three years since she was gone and never return and also she is angry with me because of what I did to Hiccup. I still couldn't believe she was alive all this time and been a Council Member of this empire. Then she looked at me for a minute and then she sighed and said "Fine, show me what's changed here..." as I smiled and nod at her then we walked here and there. Actually, not much has changed here the village is in ice spikes made by Drago then I sighed and said "Well, Not much have changed. Gobber still have his shop. Hiccup worked there when he was small and-" "I know he told me that he worked with Gobber in his shop as his assistant... And you never gave him a time of day even though he is the one that make all your weapons." As she cut me off and I flinched then I nervously said "Y-Yes, Th-That was my fault..." then she said "You know that it's your fault and you were still too arrogant to admit it at that time. After all, what's the point of taking care of him...." she stopped walking and looking at me frustrated as I stopped walking as well then she continued "....He told me everything Stoick.. even when you didn't give a damn about him. Do you even know that on his every birthday he always been alone. No one to wish him Happy Birthday except Gobber." I couldn't speak because she is right heck I don't even know when is his birthday then I sighed and said "I know I made a mistake Valka. A mistake that I am still trying to figure out how to apologize to him..." then she said "Apologies are not enough Stoick. They are never enough. Hiccup have changed he can now voice his own opinions where everyone in Dragon Topia listen... and they are all proud of him as a king." Then I couldn't say anything about what she just have said then I look down and thought about what I have done because she is right he is strong enough now to voice against anyone here. Then I sighed and said "I know Valka. I can't change anything from the past... but please let me try again. I promise I will not let you both regret it..." then she sighed and said "It's not my position to say anything... it's Hiccup's. If he wants he can give you a chance but I don't think so it's gonna be easy. He may have said that to try not to lose hope... but the real problem is that he is the one who lost hope in you... don't forget Stoick he tried to kill himself when you couldn't even gave him the time of day...." Then a second later I got tears in my eyes and they started to fall even her eyes are wet from the tears then she continued "....I think it's enough sight seeing for today and I am tired now..." As she started to walk pass beside me with her Dragon who is beside her and she continued again "...Stoick whatever Hiccup chooses I will stand by him even if he chooses to forgive you or never want to see you. That's all..." then she left without saying anything else it's true though I am not in the position to say anything to both of them then I sighed and looked at the moon and my eyes starting to flow with tears and I stand there all alone.

HICCUP POV:

'You are useless' 'he can't do anything right' 'Hiccup that's enough You have done enough damage.' then I opened my eyes quickly as I started to hyperventilate then I quickly rose up and started sweating and got scared then I looked towards the room. There I saw Toothless, Luna and Stormfly sleeping peacefully and then I saw beside my bed Zephyr and Astrid they are both also sleeping peacefully then I rubbed my eyes and took a deep breath and thought 'Nightmares...' then someone grabbed my hand and I saw it is Astrid who woke up and she looked worried as she saw my face then she rose up and asked "Are you okay Hiccup, you are sweating a lot..." then I sighed and said "Nothing... Just a Nightmare." Then she asked "Can I ask what kind of Nightmare is it..." then I sighed and said "Just an old Nightmare.... where the people of berk are... you know... discriminating me." Then she looked at me shocked and asked "Oh... Are you sure you are okay..." then I said "I am fine Astrid..." as she sighed and nodded then she said "Let's go to sleep Hiccup. It's a big day tomorrow..." as I nod and then she kissed my cheek and she continued "...This will keep you from getting bad dreams." As I giggled and said "What is it a protective charm..." then she giggled and said "If you think that then it's okay..." then she smiled and I said "Thanks..." then she said "No problem Hiccup as I told you before our marriage I will be with you in sickness and in health..." as I smiled and we slept in each other arms.
