5 MEDICINES

ARJUN'S POV:-

As soon as I entered Vikram's room, I was surprised to see a girl sleeping peacefully on his bed, which was not properly covered with a duvet. Her face looked amazing in the dim light. Her eyes were closed, cheeks were flushed. I am not able to take my eyes off her. I don't know why, but she is attracting me towards her. I got startled and went near her, covered her body properly with the duvet and switched off the AC of the room. I left Vikram's room, and closed the door behind me. I came down the hall and was about to call Vikram when he came to me from the other hallway and had a file in his hand. He sat on a single seat sofa next to me. I couldn't stop my curiosity and asked him.

"Who is the girl in your room?"

"You went to my room bhai-sa?" he asked me instead of answering and I nodded my head in acceptance.

"Now answer my question". I asked him again.

"She is Avni, Aru's friend, no actually she is Aru's bestie". he said. I nodded in agreement.

"I went to ask you for the file of Mehra deal". I told him.

"Here it is". he said handing the file towards me.

After a little conversation, I went to my study room to work, but I was not able to concentrate on work, I headed towards my room. After tossing and turning for a few minutes, I fell asleep. I woke up hearing the alarm sound. I groaned due to lack of sleep. I got up from my bed, headed towards the bathroom to do my morning routine. After half an hour, I went to the gym. After working for 2 hours, I went back to my room. After freshening up, I headed towards the breakfast table. While I was having breakfast, I heard a giggling sound from the hall, but it was coming close to the dining table. After a while, two girls came to the hall, one of them was my cousin Mahi and the other I don't know. Aarohi was following them with a pillow in her hand.

"Badi Maa, see Avu is not sitting and having breakfast, she has to take medicines too. Tell her to have breakfast and rest". I heard Aarohi's voice.

"Aunty, she is making me eat vegetable soup with bread, it is not tasty. I want to eat some tasty vegetable sandwich with cheese. Tell her, I don't need medicine, see I am fit and fine." said that girl Avu with a sad face, pouting lips and tears in her eyes 👀.

Then something struck my mind, she is the same girl from last night. She looks ethereal. She is wearing a simple anarkali suit in baby pink colour. Her hair is tied in a high bun. She walked towards Maa-sa and stood behind her chair. Maa got up from her chair and checked her temperature with her hand. Maa-sa said smiling at her.

"Avni beta, your fever is low right now, so you will not eat vegetable soup and bread".

Maa-sa said smiling at her. So her name is Avni. And she has a big smile on her face now, she quickly hugged Maa-sa and said

"Thank you thank you, thank you so much Badi Ma. I love you. You are the best".

"Okay fine now sit down and have breakfast".

Maa-sa said to her. She looked at the dining table and found a seat next to me. She came and sat next to me where usually no one sits, because I don't allow anyone to sit next to me except Maa-sa.

"Arjun, give the bowl of upma to Avni".

Maa-sa said and I nodded in acceptance, gave her the bowl, but she didn't take it just kept looking at it. I served her a little bit, knowing that she is not well. Everyone is looking at me with surprise but Maa-sa has a small smile on her face. Avni looked at me and said.

"Enough enough no more food it's too much already".

I nodded towards her, she smiled shyly. After breakfast Aarohi brought medicines for her, she kept them in front of Avni but Avni shook her head negatively.

"Aaru meri jaan look I am fine, so I don't want to take these medicines, please Aaru". Avni showed puppy eyes 👀 too Aarohi .

I really smiled seeing her cute face. I said in my mind "ohh my baby looks so cute". "What did I say yaar, what is happening to me?" I shook my head and said

"Eat this, you will feel better. We know you are fine, but Arohi's engagement is day after tomorrow, you have to be completely fine by then, so hurry up and eat this". I told her calmly. Everyone's head jerked towards me.

"Bhai-sa, why are you talking to her so lovingly?" I heard Riya's voice.

"Riya, don't you dare to do anything now, I am warning you, if you do anything now then I will not think twice before telling everything to Arjun Bhai-sa and one more thing I will not let you attend my engagement also. So it is better you don't say anything and ruin anything else". Aarohi said angrily. Avni stood up and shook her head negatively while holding Aarohi's hand.

"Aru please don't say anything to her, she is your sister. I will go and sit in your room and take medicine too and you please calm down".

Avni said looking at Aarohi with tears in her eyes. I look at them in confusion. What is going on here and why did Riya say that, but most importantly why is Aarohi looking so angry? While she is the calmest in all of us.

"Aarohi bai-sa you will not include me in your engagement for this girl". I felt hatred in Riya's voice.

"Her name is Avni, Miss Riya Singh. I warn you not to say even a single word against her. I will not think twice before telling everyone about your behavior with my best friend". Aarohi said.
