ARJUN'S POV:

As I opened the door, the scene in front of me shocked me to the core. Amar was hovering over Avni, who lay on the bed with her hands tied to the headboard, her legs wiggling in a desperate attempt to free herself.

"Leave me, Amar ji! Please don't do this!" Her voice was hoarse, filled with fear.

"Avni, you should not have married him." He spat, leaning closer to her.

"ARJUN JI, WHERE ARE YOU? PLEASE STOP HIM! PLEASE, DON'T DO THIS!" She screamed, and that jolted me out of my trance.

"AMAR, LEAVE HER!" I roared, my voice dangerously low. Amar turned to face me, a smug smirk playing on his lips.

Fury surged through me. I lunged at him, grabbing him from behind and throwing him to the ground. Without a second thought, I started punching him, my mind clouded with rage. If I hadn't arrived in time, he would've done something unforgivable to my Avni. No, I couldn't let that happen. The mere thought of it makes me more angry.

Avni's cries echoed in the background, but right now, I needed to teach this bastard a lesson. Her sobs gradually became muffled, but I didn't stop. Not yet. Amar needed to pay for even thinking of hurting her. And I needed to figure out a way to ensure he stayed far away from us-forever.

THIRD PERSON POV:

While Arjun assaulted Amar with unrelenting fury, Shekhar rushed to the bed, quickly untying Avni's wrists. Gently, he helped her sit up, and she immediately collapsed into his arms, sobbing hysterically.

Seeing his sister in such a vulnerable state shattered Shekhar's heart. I've failed as a brother, was the only thought echoing in his mind. He had failed to protect her. He whispered soothing words, trying to calm her down, but Avni was inconsolable.

Meanwhile, Arjun continued beating Amar mercilessly, his punches growing fiercer with each of Avni's cries. The sight of her in distress fueled his rage, and he didn't hold back.

Avni, lost in her trauma, couldn't stop the cascade of terrifying thoughts: What if Arjun ji hadn't come on time? What if Amar had succeeded? What if Arjun leaves me now? What if my family doesn't believe me? Where will I go? Will my Arjun ji believe me when I tell him everything?

These questions gnawed at her mind, making her sob even harder. And the events of the previous day were still fresh, adding to her turmoil.

Breaking free from Shekhar's hold, Avni glanced toward Arjun. He was straddling Amar, whose face was now barely recognizable under the blood and bruises. The sight horrified her, and she instinctively buried herself back into Shekhar's arms to escape the gruesome image.

"ARJUN JI!" She screamed, her voice trembling with fear and desperation.

Arjun's fists halted mid-air. He turned to see Shekhar holding Avni protectively, like the elder brother he was. Relief washed over him -Shekhar had managed to comfort her, at least a little.

Arjun approached them, gently pulling Avni into his arms. She clung to him tightly, her sobs muffled against his chest.

"I... I didn't do anything... A-Arjun ji." She stammered between sobs.
