So sorry guys for the late update. But the wait is finally over. Enjoy the chapter ahead.

AVNI'S POV:

"Don't worry, baby. It's me, your hubby." I hear his voice, instantly calming me.

"You scared me." I reply, leaning into him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd get scared." He says, turning me around to face him.

"May I?" He asks softly, and I nod.

He leans in, touching his forehead to mine. We both close our eyes, standing like that for a while.

TWO MONTHS LATER

I woke up with my husband beside me, his arm wrapped around me as always. I try to move it slowly, but he only tightens his hold, pulling me closer. He buries his face in the crook of my neck, and I snuggle into him. He places feather-light kisses on my skin, making me shiver.

"Arjun ji, uthaiye na." I murmured, rubbing his arm.

(Arjun ji, wake up, please.)

"Abhi nahi, Avu. Thodi der aur sona hai." He mumbles, nuzzling my neck.

(Not now, Avu. I want to sleep a little longer.)

"Arjun ji, aap so jaiye, lekin mujhe jaane dijiye. Mujhe office ke liye tayar hona hai." I say, but he refuses to let go.

(You can sleep, but let me go. I have to get ready for the office.)

"Agar tum chali jaogi toh meri neend bhi chali jaayegi." He sighs dramatically. He has become like this now never leaving a chance to be by my side.

(If you leave, I'll lose my sleep too.)

"Theek hai, sirf 5 minutes." I say sternly.

(Okay, just five minutes.)

He simply nods, still hiding his face in my neck.

Ten minutes later, he finally lets me go and kisses my forehead.

"Good morning, baby." He says, and we both get out of bed.

"Good morning Arjun ji." I replied softly.

I head to the closet to pick out my clothes, while he goes to the bathroom. After setting the bed properly, I sit in the corner. Ten minutes later, he walks out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. I quickly averted my eyes.

"Baby, you can look. I'm your husband, so don't be shy." He whispers in my ear.

I push him away and run to the bathroom.

After some time, I returned, dressed in my favorite saree. Bua-saa had asked me to wear one today, but I have no idea why. Shaking my head, I finish getting ready and head downstairs.

After the morning aarti, I check on breakfast in the kitchen before settling beside Arjun ji at the dining table. Just as I'm about to serve him, a familiar voice makes me freeze.
