THIRD PERSON POV :-

Arjun entered the room and froze at the sight before him.

Avni was lying on the bed, cradling a small girl in her arms—holding her like a mother shielding her child from every evil in the world. He quietly stepped forward and adjusted their positions, making them more comfortable. He caressed Avni's hair and kissed her forehead, then did the same to the little girl.

As he stepped out, one question echoed in his mind: Why was Avni alone with this child and not with the others?

To find answers, he walked to the front yard. Mrs. Sharma approached him immediately.

"Ma'am spends most of her time with that little girl," she said, answering the question he hadn't voiced.

"Why?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because that child is only connected to her. The day she arrived, she was crying—injured and alone. But when ma'am held her, she stopped. Ma'am fed her that day, and since then, the girl waits for her. She doesn't talk to others, but the moment ma'am enters, she runs to her and starts blabbering. Their bond is like a mother and child. It's as if she sees her mother in ma'am—and ma'am loves her the same way."

"I want to adopt her. But don't tell Avni," Arjun said, his voice firm.

Mrs. Sharma was stunned. "Really, sir?"

"Yes. I want all her details," he replied, and she nodded.

Half an hour later, Avni came outside with the little girl clinging to her, crying uncontrollably. Avni tried to console her, but the sobs only grew louder.

"Bachaa, I'll come tomorrow. Pakka," Avni promised.

(Promise)

"No! I want to sleep with you," the little one said stubbornly.

"Choti, behave beta," Mrs. Sharma scolded.

"Mrs. Sharma, please don't speak to her like that. I've told everyone—she's sensitive and gets scared by loud voices," Avni said firmly. Mrs. Sharma bowed her head and murmured a soft apology.

"Choti bachaa, I'll bring Maggi tomorrow. We'll eat it together," Avni tried to bribe her.

"No mmagi. I want onny you..." she said in her baby voice.

("No Maggi. I want only you.")

"Come here, bachaa. Won't you meet me?" Arjun said, stepping forward.

"Arjun, aap yaha kab aaye?" Avni asked, surprised.

"Jab aap so rahi thi, princess ke saath," he replied, extending his arms toward the little one.

"Hey Princess, see—he's calling you a princess like me. Say hello to your uncle," Avni said.

"Heellooo," she said in her baby voice.

"Hi bachaa. Why are you crying?" Arjun asked gently, surprising Mrs. Sharma with his softness.

"I wannaa tay witt hheerrr," she said, pointing at Avni.

("I want to stay with her.")

"Okay, we'll take you with us," he said, glancing at Mrs. Sharma, who nodded.
