ARJUN'S POV:-

"Her name is Avni, Miss Riya Singh. I dare you to say even a single word against her. I won't think twice before telling everyone about your behavior with my best friend." Arohi said.

I sit there dumb fold. I don't know what is happening here. Seeing the scene in front of me. my anger boosts, I don't want them to see me angry. But the next words from rhea, make me hell angry.

"She is a cunning girl. She is here for the sake of money only. She is with you for the luxurious life only nothing else. She is a manipulative bitch. She doesn't deserve to be here, throw her out of this mansion".

Rhea words shock me, Avni doesn't look like those girls, but Rhea is saying all these things about her. I turn my eyes to look at Avni, tears flowing from her eyes. He face looks pale, eyes wide looking in utter shock, but what caught my attention was her shaking hands. I couldn't control and slam my hand on the dining table to silence her and the whispers of others.

"Shut up rhea, I don't want to listen anything from you now. This is what we teach you? How to behave with elders?" I said in a loud voice, Rhea tried to say again but my one glare and she lowered her head but said then too.

"She manipulates you too bhai-sa".

"Enough Rhea before I give you any punishment".

I growl in a loud voice. Rhea left the dinning room & listening to my voice Avni who is sitting beside me flinches. I turn to say something to avni but her eyes are getting close and before I know her body falls towards me. I quickly took her in my arms. I hold her tightly near my chest and patt her cheeks. I carry her in bridal style and move towards my room. I gently lay her on my bed. She is not responding, I patt her cheeks again and again. But not getting a response I said.

"Call the doctors Vikram". He nodded and left to call the doctors.

Meanwhile maa-sa comes into my room. She sits on the other side of the bed, i.e beside her. Maa-sa holds Avni's hand. I touch her forehead and the temperature is low. I sigh in relief. At least she is not having any fewer. After 20 minutes the doctors entered and told everyone to leave the room, but a single glare from me, she shut her mouth and let me sit beside avni. The whole time when the doctors were checking her I didn't feel good, the way they touch her I don't like it, I know they're just checking her, but then too. I determined the moment she will be awake I will make her take a shower 🚿 quickly. After 30 minutes the doctors look at me and I nod at them to tell me the information. Soon they start it.

"Sir actually her condition is not good, I suggest, you make sure she does not take any stress". A junior doctor said.

"Her mental health is fully disturbed, so make sure she doesn't face anything that reminds her of something awful. It can make her condition worse". Another doctor said .

"Sir tries to keep her away from the moments which give her stress. Keep her happy as much as possible". The head doctor said, I nod at them and they all left from there.

Soon maa-sa along with Aarohi, Mahi, Vikram, Aarav, Chachu-sa & Dev came inside my room. They all ask about her condition. I tell them while hiding some information about her. Aarohi insisted on staying with her but I sent her to rest as the day after tomorrow is her big day. They all settled on the L-type sofa, rather than maa-sa as she settled herself on my bed. Avni's one hand is still in mine as she has clutched it a long time ago.

"Bhai-sa Rhea left the mansion without informing any of us". Then suddenly Vikram said.

"With whom she left?" I ask irritated.

"With her friends". Vikram said.

"Are guards with her?" I ask him.

"Yes I had sent 2 SUV full of guards". He said and I nod at him.

After a little chit chat about the preparation of engagement. Soon they all left for work.

"Arjun I like the way you protected Avni. I know you don't want to shout at Rhea but what she did was wrong". Maa-sa said.

"Maa-sa you know na I don't tolerate anyone disrespecting someone without any reason. That too when that person is older than them. So I did what I felt like doing at that moment. I will clear Rhea's misunderstandings". I said and she nod then left the room not before giving a side-eye to mine and Avni's intertwined hand. She closed the room as she left.

"I really don't know how you captured my mind and thoughts". I said to her, while roaming my finger on her face.

I realised she has not applied any makeup. But then too she looks amazing. She has a small mole under her left side of nose. Plum pink lips looking mesmerizing. I didn't know why I felt like touching her lips and kissing her senselessly. Argh she is so adorable and addictive. I gently take my hand out of her and move towards the L-shape sofa to sit and work, while taking my laptop. After 2 hours I came out of the room to get some water. While going back to the rooms from the kitchen, I passed the hall and heard voices. I didn't want to invade someone's privacy but a name caught my attention.

"Avni that bitch is so manipulative, she has wrapped everyone in my family around her fingers". It's Rhea's voice. I was going to reply then heard another voice.

"She is doing it for money. So do one thing now first calm yourself, and the rest I will handle". A girl I despise the most said. Yes I despise her, ohh I forgot to tell her name it's Sania.

I didn't want to hear more of their disgusting thoughts, so I moved towards my room. On my way I updated Aarohi and Maa-sa about Avni's health. They're worried but still trying to get involved in the preparations. I slowly open the door only to get a shock.
