AVNI'S POV:-

As Mahi whispers something in my ear, I turn to look at her shock, and here she is giving me puppy eyes, pout and pleading look, as if saying that 'please do that with me pretty please'. What she said is...

"Avni Di, let's prepare a surprise dance performance for Ruhi Di, she will love it".

Ruhi means Aarohi. It's a nickname.

"But how will I?" I whisper to her.

"Don't worry about anything we can do, please don't say no". She pleaded and I nod in Yes.

She gave me a side hug, then we completed our breakfast quickly. We bid bye to everyone and left for Mahi's room. We started preparing for a performance as Mahi told me that Aaru will be busy in Manicure, and all so we have a lot of time for preparation. Till lunch we had already completed steps and all. We just have to practice a little so we don't mess up on the stage. We both left for the dining room, where everyone is sitting. I sit on the corner chair, Arjun ji comes and sits beside Dada-ji, while Aarav sits beside me and Dev in front of me. The other side of mine is occupied by Mahi already. We stop talking to see the twins.

"Are you both hiding something from us?" Dev asked and I shook my head quickly.

"So indeed you're hiding something Avni Di!". He exclaimed with a smirk.

"I will tell you in the engagement, till then no comments on it, I don't want to ruin the surprise". I said giving my best puppy eyes 👀.

"Okay okay as you say". Aarav said and Dev nod at him.

With that we all started talking about random things, today's engagement party, etc etc..... After Lunch me and Mahi get busy in practicing, meanwhile Aaru is busy with her make-up and all. In the evening I moved into my room, and saw a box kept on the bed. I look at it in hatred how can they just do that to me. I move to hold it, when suddenly Badi Ma comes into my room.

"Finally meri gudiya apne kamre me aa hi gayi". She said lovingly, I smiled at her.

(Finally my gudiya has come into her room).

"Aapko kuch kaam tha aunty?" I ask her politely, while touching her feet for blessings as I know I will leave from the venue itself.

(Do you need something aunty?)

"Ohh yaa I came to tell you to wear this dress for engagement". She said while pointing towards the box kept on the bed .

"But..." Before I protest she stopped me saying.

"You're like a daughter to me bachaa, can't I do something for my child". She asks politely and I end up nodding at her.

I immediately pulled her in a hug. She wraps her arms around me, it feels motherly. I never had experienced it, but always craved for and dreamed it. We pulled away, I tried to hide my tears but she saw it unfortunately. Wiping them away from my face, she kissed my forehead.
