Sorry everyone for the delay in the chapters of my both books. Actually a lot is going on in my personal life and currently I'm exploring a bit in my career as well as in books genre so I'm giving my attention more to these two things than writing and editing the chapters. I hope you understand and support me.
Just don't give up on the books please and keep voting and commenting. Love you all very much.
ARJUN'S POV:
The moment I step into the Rajmahal, I see everyone gathered in the hall. No one has noticed my presence yet because today, I didn't enter through the front door. I don't know why, but I feel like surprising everyone, especially my Avu.
This past month, my attraction toward her has only grown stronger. The thought of losing her is unbearable. That's why I didn't send her to Mumbai for Pagphera either. Even her parents didn't bring it up-maybe they need time to process everything.
Just as I take a step forward, I hear Bua-saa's voice.
"Aarohi beta, your results will be the best. Don't stress yourself."
I wonder if she really speaks this sweetly or if my ears are just deceiving me.
"Bhabhi, why are you stressing so much? We know you'll score well," Dev says, standing beside her.
"Hah! Even if she manages to pass, that itself will be a big achievement," Bua-saa sneers, her voice laced with venom. "Anyway, her future is secure now, thanks to Arjun. My poor child fell into her trap."
I don't need to see Avni's face to know that her eyes must be filled with tears. Her body is shaking slightly. I don't want to ruin her mood, but I will not let Bua-saa insult my wife any further.
"AAROHI! AVNI! ALL THE VERY BEST FOR YOUR RESULTS. DON'T STRESS YOURSELVES!" I say loudly, making everyone freeze in shock. Avni jumps in her place, but I pretend not to notice.
"Bhai-saa, you came just in time! Our results will be announced in two minutes," Aarohi exclaims, running up to hug me.
"How could I not, when two of the most important people in my life need me today?" I say with a smirk. She just shakes her head and sits down.
Aarav stands up, giving me space to sit between Aarohi and Avni. As the website signals that results are available, I quickly enter Aarohi's details and hit the submit button.
"Aarohi, congratulations bachaa! You scored 87.93%." I side-hug her proudly.
"Aaru, congratulations!" Avni beams, getting up from her seat. Aarohi pulls away from me and lunges at Avni, hugging her tightly.
They stay in each other's arms for a good two minutes before the rest of the younger ones join in. The elders bless Aarohi, proud of her achievement.
"Okay, okay! We'll celebrate properly in a bit, but first, we need to check my best friend's results too," Aarohi says excitedly, sitting beside me again.
I turn toward Avni and immediately notice her body trembling slightly. Without a second thought, I pull her into my arms, caressing her hair in an attempt to calm her down.
"Let's check your result?" I ask softly after a few minutes.
"What if I fail?" she whispers, looking up at me.
