ARJUN'S POV:

Today, I have to return to Udaipur, leaving my Avu alone in Mumbai. I arrived here early, before breakfast, but I didn't feel like eating. Shekhar informed me about her whereabouts. Apparently, her family is coming to Udaipur this evening, but she isn't. She claimed she had college assignments and needed to work on designs. However, I know she's lying-I already spoke to her principal.

For her safety, I've assigned two female bodyguards to stay with her at her house, along with Shekhar. I've also shared my plans for the coronation day with him.

To distract myself from thoughts of her, I immerse myself in work-sorting through files and addressing matters concerning the people of Udaipur. Yet, no matter how much I try, my mind keeps drifting back to her. Avni occupies every corner of my mind. She's becoming my obsession. YES. A. FUCKING. OBSESSION. I am obsessed with her.

Argh! I shake my head to focus. I know she's staying behind because of me. She thinks I'll forget her if she creates distance. Little does she know that every passing day, my obsession with her grows.

In the evening, Vikram and a few guards left to pick up Avni's family. Everyone is excited about their arrival, except Aarohi, Dev, Aarav, and Mahi, who look noticeably upset. I know it's because Avni isn't here. My siblings are so attached to her that her absence feels like a void.

To lighten the mood, I suggest, "Let's go for a long drive."

"Great idea, Arjun! Let's go!" Sania chirps in her overly cheerful voice.

"Yes, Bhai-saa, let's go," Rhea adds.

"Dev, Aarav, Vikram, Aarohi, get up! We're going."

But all four shook their heads.

"Bhai-saa, I'm exhausted and want to sleep," Aarohi said.

"I have an assignment to complete, sorry," Dev said, waving me off.

With no choice, I took Rhea and Sania out for ice cream, hoping the fresh air would lift their spirits. It didn't.

The big day finally arrived. My family is busy with preparations, and I've been awake since dawn, performing rituals and meeting guests. Shekhar informed me that Avni and her bodyguards had landed and were en route to the palace. I went to greet her personally at the mansion's rear entrance, keeping her arrival a surprise from everyone.

When she stepped out of the car, looking annoyed, I couldn't help but chuckle. I guided her to a guest room and explained half of my plan, assuring her she'd know the rest soon.

After settling her in, I sent her a lehenga I'd selected for the coronation ceremony. I knew she would only bring formal or simple dresses. Along with the outfit, I sent sandals and matching jewelry. My heart raced, anticipating how beautiful she'd look.

In the evening, the coronation ceremony began. Dadu-saa placed the crown on my head, marking the beginning of my reign. After delivering my speech, I announced Avni's name, calling her to the stage.

She walked in, wearing the purple lehenga I had chosen. She looked mesmerizing. My heart skipped a beat, and I could barely register the murmurs around me. Her beauty captivated everyone.

"Everyone," I began, "please meet the great jewelry designer who has created these stunning pieces for my family and me-Ms

"Everyone," I began, "please meet the great jewelry designer who has created these stunning pieces for my family and me-Ms. Avni Desai."

Her shocked expression turned into a shy smile as I continued, "This precious pearl jewelry is her masterpiece. As King Arjun Singh Pratap, I am pleased to announce that Ms. Avni Desai will design jewelry exclusively for the Singh family for the next two years."

The crowd gasped at the announcement. Dadu-saa and Papa exchanged knowing smiles. It was a bold move, but necessary for Avni's growth and recognition.

I signaled my assistant to transfer the payment for her designs.

Avni stepped forward to speak. "Thank you so much, Arjun ji, for this opportunity. A special thank you to my best friend, Aarohi, who has always motivated me, and to my family, who support me in countless ways. To the Singh family, thank you for placing your faith in me. As a new designer, I couldn't have dreamed of such a big break. I will forever be grateful."

Her heartfelt words touched everyone. As she left the stage, I watched her from afar, lost in her smile. Later, I spotted her holding her ears and mumbling something to Aarohi, likely apologizing. My siblings were clearly enjoying the scene, but I had to return to the businessmen who had cornered me for a conversation.

LATE NIGHT:

After the event, everyone dispersed, and I retreated to my study. Around midnight, my phone buzzed incessantly. I checked and saw 15 missed calls from Rohan, 12 from Chacha-saa, and 9 from Papa.

"What's going on?" I muttered, answering Rohan's call.

His panicked voice filled my ears.

"What?" I barked in shock.

"...How the hell did this happen?"

Rohan's explanation only angered me more. I quickly packed my belongings, left a message for Dadu-saa and Papa, and turned off my phone, knowing I had to act fast. Little did I know, my departure would stir chaos for someone who means the world to me.
