ARJUN'S POV :-
"Anav, Avy, come. Avu is waiting for you both." I said softly, looking at them.
"Don't you dare call them by those names." Varun's voice snapped, piercing the room.
"Varun, not now, please. Avu is waiting. I won't call them by their nickname if you dislike it, but at least fix your mood quickly—their maa saa is waiting." I replied calmly.
We entered the room, and the twins rushed to Avu. She kissed them softly on their foreheads. Aarnav began giving her a list of instructions about what to do and what not to do, while Avni listened intently, her watery eyes glistening. Avyaan, noticing her tears, gently wiped them away and kissed her eyelids.
"Bhaiyu, stop now! You've been lecturing maa saa for the past 15 minutes. What if she gets bored and falls asleep again? No, no! I won't let you sleep, maa saa." Avyaan exclaimed, horrified.
I chuckled at his childish behavior. Avni smiled warmly and pulled him into a hug.
"I'm not going anywhere, leaving you two. I can never go away from you. Even today, I'm alive just for my children—for you three." She said, drawing Aarnav into her embrace.
We spent some time together, though the twins ignored me as if I weren't there. I didn't mind; I knew I had to earn their trust. Varun Bhai was still upset, though not as much as before. Shekhar, on the other hand, had warmed up to the children and even spoke with Avu, who cried in his arms. By lunchtime, she was visibly tired.
By lunchtime, Nitin prepared tomato soup and khichdi (a mixture of lentils and rice) for her.
"I will eat by myself." She said when I sat beside her to feed her.
"I know you're capable of taking care of yourself, but for now, you shouldn't strain your body. Let me help you, please." I replied. She hesitated but eventually agreed.
After lunch, Vivaan gave her medicines, which she took without much resistance. I was shocked—she had changed so much over the years. She had become quieter, almost emotionless, except when she was with the twins. Around them, she transformed into a child, while they behaved like overprotective brothers rather than sons. I shook my head, amused and saddened by their dynamic.
When the kids left with Shekhar and Nitin, I followed. I needed to freshen up. Varun strictly instructed me to return in the evening with snacks for Avni and the family. Dev added a glare for good measure, ensuring I didn't linger.

Later at the Royal Palace:
When we arrived, the twins rushed ahead of me, with Shekhar and Nitin trailing behind. I quickly went to my room, freshened up, and joined the family in the living room. Shortly after, Shekhar appeared, dragging the twins with him.
"What's wrong, Shekhar? Why are you dragging my sons like this?" I asked.
"They refuse to eat! They barely had anything at the hospital and now want to work instead. God only knows how Avu managed them alone for ten years." He exclaimed wavng his hands in the air.
Nitin chuckled beside me, but my heart clenched at the word alone.

THIRD PERSON POV :-
"We're not your sons, so stop calling us that. We're Avni's sons—only Avni's." Aarnav said coldly.
